Description
Die Erfindung betrifft Quecksilber dampf Strahlvakuumpumpen. Es ist bekannt, daß man bei solchen Pumpen zur Hochvakuumerzeugung die Wandung des Diffusors und des benachbarten Teiles der Absaugeleitung mit Wasser kühlt.The invention relates to mercury vapor jet vacuum pumps. Wie aus Abb. 1 ersichtlich, ist das zur Entwicklung von Ouecksilberdämpfen dienende Gefäß α mit einer Düse b versehen. Diese mündet in ein sie umschließendes Rohrstück //, an das sich der Diffusor c anschließt. Hinter der Eintrittsstelle des Rohres in den Diffusor c ist die Saugleitung d angeschlossen. Die abgesaugte Luft wird durch die Leitung e nach dem Vorvakuum geführt. Die Hülle/ dient in bekannter Weise zur Kühlung des Diffusors c und die Leitung g zur Rückführung des Kondensates in den Verdämpfer α. Der Kühler umgibt auch die Saugleitung d und außerdem das die Düse b vor dem Diffusor umschließende Rohrstück h, so daß der Dampfstrahl erst zur Wirkung kommt, nachdem er erfindungsgemäß eine kurze Strecke gekühlt worden ist.As can be seen from Fig. 1, the vessel α used for the development of mercury vapors is provided with a nozzle b.
