Abstract

Polymer resin or cellulose solutions in plasticisers result in a primer, which has particularly good filling power and 100% solids, for waterborne coating materials, which primer prevents the swelling of the wood by the waterborne coating materials which are subsequently applied, and also does away with the need for drying intervals, penetrates the wood and restores it, ensures a good bond with the polymer resins of the waterborne coating materials, and elasticises them.

Description

Environmentally friendly water-based paints swell the cell walls on wood and roughen the surface.

Therefore they have to be sanded after the first order and again be applied. So far no solvent-based primer Is used, but there is also the possibility of the hoisted Fibers smooth using a rust-free, smooth metal spatula press to get a perfect surface. By the high Water content of the water-based paints needs a relatively long drying time be accepted, especially because depending on the wood one more repeated filling may be necessary. It is also a longer one Hardening is necessary because the following water lacquer application is repeated can swell.

Water-based paints only have a solids content of 32-50%, so that Good filling of the joints and pores, especially in the case of small parquet of the wood only by repeated filling with the appropriate intermediate drying can be done. Because the dispersion is not in the subsurface penetrates, the surface looks pale untreated, without the desired Revitalization of the wood structure.

These disadvantages can be overcome by priming with water and solvent medium, d. H. odorless and relatively environmentally friendly plasticizers be resolved.

Since the plasticizers do not evaporate, there is only one application already a 100%, so full primer, which the Wood does not roughen, is practically odorless and fire-proof well anchored in the wood and by penetrating the dried poly Merisatharze the water-based paints a secure connection with the top coat brings.

There are no intermediate drying times, especially since plasticizers are let in can be walked on immediately with clean shoes.

Schaum stoff erfolgen. All that is required is a thin application. He can with a metal spatula, a well-soaked rag, with a rubber-elastic, plasticizer-resistant squeegee or a thick sponge or foam fabric.

An order that is too strong, i. H. too much plasticizer, penetrates too deep in the water-based paint that is applied later and softens it speaking. In addition, the bond with the wood through the liquid remaining strong intermediate layer become questionable.

In order to largely eliminate these disadvantages, it is necessary to solve them Binders in plasticizers advantageous. This is the solution highly viscous and easier to fill. Furthermore, a part of the plasticizer are bound so that the free plasticizer portion is reduced. The thickened material penetrates particularly with porous woods Plasticizer content is not as deep and offers a more stable Base layer. The adhesion of the water-based paint is also increased, and the amount of plasticizer that penetrates the dried water-based paint will be reduced accordingly. The plasticizer itself must of course that can dissolve cellulose or acrylic polyvinyl resins, etc.

Beispielexample

Eine Lösung wird hergestellt ausA solution is made from

20% Nitrozellulosechips (mit 18% Weichmacher)
80% Weichmacher, wie Dibutylphtalat
20% nitrocellulose chips (with 18% plasticizer)
80% plasticizer, such as dibutyl phthalate

und in honigartiger Konsistenz mittels Spachtel aufgetragen.and applied in a honey-like consistency using a spatula.

The consumption of oak wood is approx. 30-40 gr / qm. Around 20% -30% of the plasticizer are bound by the nitrocellulose. This means, that theoretically at 40 gr / sqm about 16 gr plasticizer with cellulose and plasticizers are bound and only about 24 gr / sqm plasticizer are "free" and into the cell walls of the wood or up into the Top coat can penetrate. If half into the wood and the other half of it penetrates into the topcoat, that's about 12 gr / sqm. If you coat this plasticizer primer with about 350 gr / qm water-based paint, so remain at 45% solids of the water-based paint approx. 160 gr / sqm acrylic or polyvinyl plastic, so that 12 gr / sqm plasticizer means about 7.5% of the polymer plastic. This amount can elasticize at most brittle polymers, but the plastic do not soften, d. H. do not worsen the abrasion value.
