Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Salzen des Dioxydichinoyls (Rhodizonsäure). Es wurde gefunden, daß bei der Einwirkung von neutralen Salzen der schwefeligen Säure auf Glyoxal in wäßriger Lösung die entsprechenden Salze des Dioxydichinoyls, der sogenannten »Rhodizonsäure«, entstehen.Process for the preparation of salts of dioxydichinoyl (rhodizonic acid). Beispiel. Zu einer kaltgesättigten Lösung von 5oo Gewichtsteilen kristallisiertem Natriumsulfit fügt man unter Umrühren auf einmal hinzu 5o Gewichtsteile Glyoxal, zweckmäßig in Form einer etwa 3oprozentigen wäßrigen Lösung. Die Mischung erwärmt sich sofort sehr stark, färbt sich unter begieriger Aufnahme von Luftsauerstoff tief gelb und scheidet alsbald das Dinatriumsalz des Dioxydichinoyls (rhodizonsaures Natrium) in Form schwarzvioletter Kristalle aus. Man unterstützt die Reaktion durch Erwärmen und Umrühren oder durch Einblasen von Luft; sie ist beendet, sobald eine abfiltrierte Probe bei weiterer Einwirkung der Luft keinen Niederschlag mehr abscheidet.Example.
