Description
Es ist bekannt, dass mit Hilfe nickelhaltiger und phosphanmodifizierter
Katalysatoren Olefine dimerisiert bzw.
codimerisiert werden können. So wurde die Codimerisation von
cyclischen Dienen bzw. gespannten Olefinen wie Norbornen und
Ethen unter Verwendung von π-Allylnickelhalogeniden oder
Nickel-(0)-Verbindungen und deren Aktivierung mit Hilfe von
Lewis-Säuren sowie Modifizierung mit acyclischen Phosphanen,
auch optisch aktiven acyclischen Phosphanen mehrfach beschrieben
(DE-PS 20 39 125, Studiengesellschaft Kohle mbH.

Die bisher bekannten Verfahren weisen technisch Nachteile
auf, da die Katalysatoren nur relativ geringe Aktivitäten
zeigen und darüber hinaus die erzielten Selektivitäten
ungenügend sind. Die bei den bisher beschriebenen Verfahren
maximal zu erreichenden katalytischen Cyclenzahlen sind für
eine technische Anwendung zu niedrig.
Überraschenderweise wurde nun gefunden, dass die genannten
technischen Mängel der bisher bekannten Verfahren überwunden
werden können, wenn als modifizierende Liganden
Azaphospholene eingesetzt werden, deren Substituenten aufgrund
ihrer Raumerfüllung bestimmte Rotationen in den Katalysatorkomplexen
blockieren. Daraus resultieren relativ
starre Anordnungen am Katalysator, in dem an jedem Phosphoratom
je ein Nickelatom komplexiert ist. Als derartige Liganden
haben sich Phospholene folgender Struktur erwiesen:
Die Reste R1 und R2 können in weiten Grenzen durch Alkyl-,
Aryl- und Aralkylgruppen variiert werden. Bei Wahl von
vorzugsweise
bevorzugt in der optischen R- bzw.
S-Form, und R2 = CH3 erhält man besonders gute Ergebnise.
Das mit diesen Substituenten aufgebaute, bisher nicht bekannte
Diastereomere besitzt laut Röntgenstrukturanalyse folgende
Struktur und Konfiguration:
Dieses Diastereomere 6a wurde auf folgendem Wege ausgehend
von (-)-α-Pinen bzw. [(-)-(1R,5S-Myrtenal)1] und
(+)-R-α-Phenylethylamin 2 gewonnen.
Analog kann, ausgehend von (+)-α-Pinen und (-) S-α-Phenylethylamin,
das zu dem oben genannten Diastereomeren Enantiomere
6a′ synthetisiert wrden. 6a und 6a′ bewirken als
Liganden in nickelhaltigen Katalysatoren, dass z. B. die
Codimerisation von Norbornen mit Ethen selbst bei
Temperaturen von +60°C bis -120°C, bevorzugt -20 bis -80°C,
mit Aktivitäten von 20 000 Cyclen pro Stunde und Selektivitäten
≦λτ90% realisiert werden kann. Das nach folgender
Reaktionsgleichung
unter Verwendung von 6a als Ligand im Nickelkatalysator in
CH2Cl2 entstehende (-)-exo-Vinylnorbornan weist einen enantiomeren
Überschuss (e. e.) von 57% auf, d. h. der Ligand 6a
bewirkt nicht nur hohe Aktivität und Selektivität, sondern
zusätzlich eine hohe optische Induktion, so dass verfahrensgemäss
ein optisch aktives Produkt anfällt, das zu 78.5%
aus einem Enantiomeren besteht.
Wird dagegen ein analoges Phospholen, ausgehend von
(-)-α-Pinen und (-)-S-α-Phenylethylamin, aufgebaut, so
resultiert ein anderes Diastereomeres 6b, dessen Struktur
ebenfalls röntgenographisch aufgeklärt wurde.
6b zeigt als Katalysatorkomponente die oben für 6a angegebenen
Wirkungen bezüglich der Katalysatoraktivität um den
Faktor 100 vermindert, d. h. statt 20 000 Cyclen pro Stunde
werden unter gleichen Bedingungen ca. 200 Cyclen erzielt.
Das Produkt fällt dann (+)-drehend als (+)-exo-Vinylnorbornan
mit einem e. e. von 40% an. Molecular modelling Untersuchungen
über 6a und 6b zeigen, dass in 6a Rotationen um
bestimmte Bedingungen z. B. um die zentrale C-C-Bindung (C1-
C30) weitgehend eingeschränkt sind, während dies bei 6b
nicht der Fall ist. Bei 6a resultieren hieraus die erwähnten
starren Anordnungen entsprechend Sekundärstrukturen bei
Enzymen.
34.37 g (0.284 mol) (+)-(1R)-Phenylethylamin 2 werden in
einem 250 ml Kolben vorgelegt und auf 70-80°C erwärmt.
Bei dieser Temperatur tropft man 42.94 g (0.286 mol)
(-)-(1R,5S)-Myrtenal 1 innerhalb von 1 h zu. Es bildet sich
eine zweiphasige Mischung, die noch 1 h nachgerührt wird.
Nach dem Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur werden 50 ml Either
zugegeben, die wässrige Phase abgetrennt (4 ml) und die
organische Phase mit KOH/Na2SO4 getrocknet. Danach wird der
Ether abkondensiert und das Rohprodukt 3 im Hochvakuum
destilliert.
Ausbeute: 62.3 g (87.7% d. Th.), Sdp. 108-112°C

49.40 g (0.195 mol) Azadien 3 werden in 700 ml n-Pentan
vorgelegt und 40.14 g (0.195 mol) MePBr2 in ca. 200 ml
n-Pentan bei Raumtemperatur zugetropft. Sofort fällt ein
gelber Niederschlag aus. Nach Zugabe von MePBr2 läßt man das
Reaktionsgemisch 4 Tage rühren. Danach filtriert man den
gelben Feststoff (Roh-Phosphonium-Salze 4) ab, wäscht dreimal
mit jeweils 100 ml n-Pentan und trocknet anschließend im
Vakuum.

10.05 g (21.9 mmol) Roh-Produkt 4 werden auf einer Fritte in
100 ml THF suspendiert, das Filtrat in einem Kolben aufgefangen
und der Rückstand verworfen. Zum orangefarbenen
Filtrat gibt man bei -10°C unter kräftigem Rühren 0.66 g
(272 mmol) aktives Magnesium portionsweise zu. Nach beendeter
Zugabe erwärmt man den Ansatz langsam auf
Raumtemperatur und rührt über Nacht. Nach dem Abkondensieren
des Lösungsmittels wird der Rückstand in 200 ml Ether aufgenommen
und filtriert. Vom gelben Filtrat kondensiert man
den Ether ab und erhält 10.62 g viskosen Rückstand, der in 4
bis 5 Volumenanteilen Methanol unter Erwärmung auf ca. 60°C
gelöst wird. In einem Wasserbad (ca. 60°C) läßt man über
Nacht unter Rühren auf Raumtemperatur abkühlen. Es fällt ein
farbloser Niederschlag von 6a aus.
Ausbeute 0.84 g (12.9% d. Th.)

Die Azaphospholene vom Typ 6a sind geeignet zur Herstellung
von hochselektiv wirkenden Katalysatoren, die wiederum in
der Lage sind, ungesättigte Kohlenwasserstoffe in optisch
aktive Verbindungen umzuwandeln. So erhält man in bisher
nicht beschriebenen Raum/Zeit-Ausbeuten optisch aktives
Vinylbicycloheptan aus Bicycloheptan und Ethylen, das
wiederum Ausgangspunkt für die Terpolymerisation zusammen
mit z. B. Ethylen und Propylen zu Polymeren, insbesondere zu
optisch aktiven Polymeren sein kann. Optisch aktive Polymere
haben verbesserte physikalische und mechanische Eigenschaften
aufgrund ihrer hohen sterischen Regelmäßigkeit. So
sind optisch aktive Polymere für die Trennung von Enantiomeren
als Absortionsmittel geeignet.
Ein 2 l Vierhalskolben, versehen mit Rührer, Tropftrichter
und Claisenaufsatz mit Thermometer, wird unter Aufheizen
evakuiert und mit Argon gefüllt. Im Kolben werden 600 ml
CH2Cl2 und im Tropftrichter 600 ml einer CH2Cl2 Lösung von
400 g (4.25 mol) Bicyclo[2.2.1]hepten vorgelegt. Unter
Rühren kühlt man den Kolben auf -65°C und fügt 0.047 g
(0.108 mmol) π-Allylnickelchlorid/Phosphan 6a-Komplex (Ni : P
= 1 : 1) gelöst in ca. 10 ml gekühltem CH2Cl2, und 0.239 ml
(1 mmol) Et3Al2Cl3 hinzu (P : Ni : Al = 1 : 1 : 20). Dabei färbt
sich die Komplexlösung violett. Nach kurzem Evakuieren mit
der Ölpumpe hebt man das Vakuum mit trockenem Ethylen auf
und tropft unter Rühren die Lösung von Bicyclohepten innerhalb
von 60 Minuten zu. Dabei ist eine starke Wärmetönung zu
beobachten. Während der Reaktionszeit (90 Minuten) wird
Ethylen in die Apparatur geleitet. Die Reaktionstemperatur
steigt dabei auf -58°C.
Anschließend wird die Reaktion durch Einleiten von gasförmigem
Ammoniak abgebrochen und das Produkt im Vakuum abkondensiert.
Aus dem so erhaltenen Kondensat wird das
Lösungsmittel bei Normaldruck abdestilliert und der Rückstand
über eine Vigreux-Kolonne destilliert.
Ausbeute: 384 g (74% d. Th.)

Man verfährt wie im Beispiel 1 unter Verwendung eines 0.5 l
Vierhalskolbens. In dem Kolben werden 150 ml CH2Cl2 und im
Tropftrichter 30 ml (0.32 mol) Bicyclo[2.2.1]hepten in 50 ml
CH2Cl2 vorgelegt. Das Lösungsmittel wird auf -70°C abgekühlt
und 0.0961 g (0.352 mmol) Bis-cyclooctadien-nickel und
0.105 g (0.352 mmol) Phosphan 6a zugegeben. Man läßt die Reaktionsmischung
langsam auf -15°C erwärmen bis eine
kräftige gelbe klare Lösung auftritt, kühlt dann wieder auf
-70°C und gibt 0.080 ml (0.352 mmol) Et3Al2Cl3 zu (P : Ni : Al
= 1 : 1 : 2). Nach erneutem Erwärmen auf -20°C wird die Lösung
mit Ethylen gesättigt und innerhalb von 15 Minuten die
Lösung von Bicyclohepten zugetropft. Durch kräftiges Rühren
hält man die Reaktionsmischung 60 Minuten lang mit Ethylen
gesättigt. Die Reaktion wird mit gasförmigem Ammoniak abgebrochen.
Das Produkt wird abkondensiert, das Lösungsmittel
abgezogen und der Rückstand durch eine ca. 30 cm lange
Vigreux-Kolonne destilliert.
Ausbeute: 35 g (90% d. Th.)

Man verfährt gemäss Beispiel 1. In einem 1 l Kolben werden
500 ml Chlorbenzol und im Tropftrichter 30 g (0.32 mol)
Bicyclohepten in 50 ml Chlorbenzol vorgelegt. Unter Rühren
kühlt man das Chlorbenzol auf -40°C und fügt 0.090 g
(0.186 mmol) π-Allylnickelchlorid/Phosphan-6a-Komplex in
ca. 15 ml gekühltem Chlorbenzol und 0.135 g (1.12 mmol)
Et2AlCl hinzu (P : Ni : Al = 1 : 1 : 6). Danach tropft man die
Lösung von Bicycloheptan innerhalb von ca. 15 Minuten zu und
leitet Ethylen in die Apparatur. Innerhalb von 2 h erwärmt
man die Reaktionsmischung auf +40°C.
Die Katalyse wird durch Einleiten von gasförmigem Ammoniak
abgebrochen und das Produkt im Vakuum abkondensiert. Aus dem
so erhaltenen Kondensat wird das Lösungsmittel bei
Normaldruck abdestilliert und der Rückstand über eine
Vigreux-Kolonne destilliert.
Ausbeute: 34 g (87,5% d. Th.)

Man verfährt gemäss Beispiel 1. In einem 0,5 l Kolben werden
150 ml CHCl3 und im Tropftrichter 30 g (0.32 mol)
Bicyclohepten in 50 ml CHCl3 vorgelegt. Das Lösungsmittel
wird auf -30°C gekühlt und 0.020 g (0.114 mmol) Nickelacetat
sowie 0.0678 g (0.228 mmol) Phosphan 6a zugegeben. Man
läßt die Reaktionsmischung 30 Minuten bei -30°C rühren und
gibt dann 0.133 g (0.684 mmol) AgBF4 zu (P : Ni : BF4 = 2 : 1 : 6).
Nach weiteren 30 Minuten Rühren wird die Lösung von
Bicyclohepten innerhalb von 10 Minuten zugetropft und
Ethylen gleichzeitig in die Apparatur eingeleitet. Die Reaktion
wird nach 60 Minuten mit gasförmigem Ammoniak abgebrochen.
Das Produkt wird abkondensiert, das Lösungsmittel abgezogen
und der Rückstand destilliert.
Ausbeute: 32 g (85% d. Th.)

Man verfährt gemäss Beispiel 1. In einem 0,5 l Kolben werden
150 ml CH2Cl2 und im Tropftrichter 15 g (0.16 mol)
Bicyclohepten vorgelegt. Das Lösungsmittel wird unter Rühren
auf -72°C gekühlt und 0.287 g (0.66 mmol) π-Allylnickel/
Phosphan 6b Komplex in ca. 20 ml gekühltem CH2Cl2 und
0.150 ml (0.66 mmol) Et3Al2Cl3 hinzugefügt (P : Ni : Al =
1 : 1 : 2). Dabei färbt sich die Komplexlösung violett. Bei
-72°C tropft man innerhalb von 30 Minuten die Lösung von
Bicyclohepten zu und leitet gleichzeitig Ethylen in die
Lösung ein. Nach Zugabe von Bicyclohepten leitet man noch 30
Minuten lang Ethylen ein. Die Reaktion bricht man durch Einleiten
von gasförmigem Ammoniak ab und das Produkt wird im
Vakuum abkondensiert, das Lösungsmittel abgezogen und der
Rückstand destilliert.
Ausbeute: 18 g (92% d. Th.)

Man verfährt gemäss Beispiel 1. In einem 0,5 l Kolben werden
150 ml CH2Cl2 und im Tropftrichter 18 g (0.19 mol)
Bicycloheptan in 20 ml CH2Cl2 vorgelegt. Das Lösungsmittel
wird unter Rühren auf -30°C gekühlt und 0.283 g
(0.946 mmol) der Mischung der Phosphanisomeren 5a und 5b sowie
0.128 g (0.473 mmol) Bis-π-allylnickelchlorid zugegeben.
Die Reaktionsmischung läßt man 30 Minuten rühren, kühlt dann
auf -70°C und gibt 0.454 ml (1.892 mmol) Et3Al2Cl3 hinzu
(P : Ni : Al = 1 : 1 : 4). Nach kurzem Evakuieren mit der Ölpumpe
hebt man das Vakuum mit trockenem Ethylen auf und tropft die
Lösung von Bicyclohepten innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu. Danach
leitet man noch 15 Minuten Ethylen in die Apparatur ein. Die
Reaktion wird durch Einleiten von gasförmigem Ammoniak abgebrochen,
das Produkt im Vakuum abkondensiert, das Lösungsmittel
abgezogen und der Rückstand destilliert.
Ausbeute: 6 g (26% d. Th.)

Man verfährt gemäss Beispiel 1. In einem 0,5 l Kolben werden
150 ml CH2Cl2 und im Tropftrichter 30 g (0.32 mol)

läßt man 15 Minuten bei -65°C rühren. Danach gibt
man 0.118 g (0.394 mmol) Phosphan 6a zu (P : Ni : Al = 3 : 1 : 10)
und läßt die Lösung noch 10 Minuten rühren. Dann tropft man
die Lösung von Bicycloheptan innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu und
leitet gleichzeitig Ethylen in den Apparatur ein. Die Reaktion
wird durch Einleiten von gasförmigem Ammoniak abgebrochen,
das Produkt im Vakuum abkondensiert, das Lösungsmittel
abgezogen und der Rückstand destilliert.
Ausbeute: 34 g (87% d. Th.)

Ein 100 l Glasreaktionsgefäss, versehen mit Rührer, 25 l
Zulaufgefäss und Innenthermometer wird unter Argonatmosphäre
gesetzt. Im Reaktionsgefäss werden 50 l CH2Cl2 und im
Zulaufgefäss 10.13 kg (107.7 mol) Bicyclohepten in 10 l
CH2Cl2 vorgelegt. Das vorgelegte Lösungsmittel wird mit
Hilfe einer Kühlmaschine auf -40°C und die Lösung von
Bicyclohepten auf -13°C gekühlt.
Anschließend leitet man Ethylen ein und gibt 23 ml
(0.102 mmol) Et3Al2Cl3, 4.448 g (0.01027 mol) π-Allylnickelchlorid/
Phosphan-6a-Komplex, gelöst in 50 ml CH2Cl2 zu
(P : Ni : Al = 1 : 1 : 20). Danach läßt man unter gleichzeitigem
Einleiten von Ethylen die Lösung von Bicyclohepten innerhalb
von 6 Stunden zulaufen. Die Reaktionstemperatur steigt bei
voller Leistung der angeschlossenen Kühlmaschine auf -31°C.
Nach 6.5 h wird die Reaktion durch Einleiten von gasförmigem
Ammoniak abgebrochen. Anschließend wird das Lösungsmittel
bei Normaldruck destilliert und der Rückstand über eine
Kolonne fraktioniert.
Ausbeute: 8.0 kg (65.6 mol, 60.9% d. Th.)

Claims (7)
1. Azaphospholene des Typs
wobei R1 und R2 Alkyl-, Aryl- und Aralkylgruppen sein können.
2. Bis-(3R)-3-{(1R,5R,8R)-5.9.9-Trimethyl-4-[(1R)-1-Phenylethyl]
4-aza-5-phospha-tricyclo
[6.1.11.8.02.6]dec-2-(6)-enyl}
[6.1.11.8.02.6]dec-2-(6)-enyl}
3. Verfahren zur Herstellung von
Bis-(3R)-3-{(1R,5R,8R)-5.9.9-Trimethyl-4-[(1R)-1-Phenylethyl]
4-aza-5-phospha-tricyclo[6.1.11.8.02.6]dec-2(6)-enyl},
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man (1R,5S)-6,6-Dimethyl-2-[(1R)-
1-N-Phenylethylazamethino]bicyclo[3.1.7]-hept-2-en
aus Phenylethylamin und Myrtenal herstellt, dieses in einem
zweiten Schritt mit Methyldibromphosphan zu 5-Brom-5,9,9-
Trimethyl-4-[(1R)-1-Phenylethyl] 4-aza-5-λ4-phosphonia-tricyclo-
[6.1.11.8.02.6]-dec-2(6)-en-bromid umsetzt und in einem
dritten Schritt letztere Produkte mit aktivem Magnesium
behandelt.
4. Verwendung von Produkten gemäß Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß man einen mit
Bis-(3R)-3-{(1R,5R,8R)-5.9.9-Trimethyl-4-[(1R)-1-Phenylethyl]
4-aza-5-phospha-tricyclo[6.1.11.8.02.6]dec-2(6)-enyl
aktivierten π-Allylnickelhalogenid-Komplex herstellt.
5. Verwendung gemäß Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnnet, daß man
als nickelhaltige Verbindungen Komplexe von Nickel (0),
wie z. B. Biscyclooctadiennickel (0), Cyclododecatriennickel (0)
oder Nickel-II-Verbindungen, wie z. b. Bis-π-allylnickel,
π-Allylnickelhalogenide, Nickelacetylacetonat, Nickelalkoholate,
Nickelsalze von Carbonsäuren einsetzt.
6. Verwendung von Produkten gemäß Anspruch 1-5, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man einen π-Allylnickelhalogenid/azaphospholen-
Komplex nach Zugabe von Lewis-Säuren wie z. B. Organoaluminium-
bzw. -borhalogenide, wobei die Organoreste Alkyl- bzw.
Arylreste sein können, auf eine Mischung aus Ethylen und
Bicyclohepten zur Herstellung von Vinylbicycloheptan einwirken
läßt.
7. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als
komplexe Anionen RAlX3, R3Al2X4, R2AlX2, wobei R = Alkyl
oder Aryl und X = Cl, Br, J ist, wie z. B. EtAlCl3,
Et3Al2Cl4, Et2AlCl2 sowie BF4 eingesetzt werden.
