Abstract

Decompression device for an internal combustion engine, the valve control of which comprises a cam shaft, valve rockers, valve springs, valves and an arresting rod equipped with a recess, wherein the valve spring presses the arm of the valve rocker, actuated by the camshaft, into the recess, characterized in that the arresting rod (8) possesses an additional recess (10), into which one arm (15) of an auxiliary rocker (11) falls, which rocker is actuated by an auxiliary cam (5) formed on the camshaft (3).
