Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the impact of a dynamic valve device for an internal combustion gngine upon seating of the valve, prevent the nose, and to improve the durability of the valve system by intaking part of the cam lift by utilizing an oil tappet to thereby lower the valve lift.
CONSTITUTION: In a dymanic valve device for an internal combustion engine for reciprocating the valve via an oil tappet 2, a push rod 3, and a rocker arm 5 upon one evolution of a cam 1 rotated by the engine, the end 5a of the rocker arm 5 makes at one side contact with the upper end 6a of the valve stem and at the other contact with the head of an adjusting bolt 12 screwed into a damper plunger 11. This plunger 11 is slidably axially inserted into the cylinder 16 of the body damper 15 to thus form an oil chamber 19 communicating with an oil pressure source through an oil gallery 17 and a throttle 18. Thus, the end 5a of the arm 5 makes contact with the valve 6 immediately before closing the valve 6 to thereby reduce the impact of the valve.
