Description
Filter installation for chimneys of lignite drying and crushing facilities. For the purpose of briquetting, the lignite must first be finely chopped up and dried , a process that is carried out in rotating drums, which are passed through heating tubes o. The like. Be brought to the required degree of heat. The evolving Water vapors escape through a chimney placed on the drum; they tear but a lot of coal dust with it, which annoys the area around the plants. By the installation of resistors or the common filters alone can improve the LTbelstand usually not be remedied because the dust is so extraordinarily fine that it is not retained by the ordinary filters and neither are the water vapors precipitate easily and drip back into the drum.
Based on this knowledge, the new installation is also what can be addressed as a filter system, from such substances and in such Composed in a way that the water vapors free the filters without being knocked down to be pulled through and the coal dust is held back. This purpose is supposed to meet a fabric made of silk fibers, which is both fire-resistant and is made water-repellent. The impregnation is not done immediately with water repellent Means made, but the water-repellent effect is only in the fiber self-generated. The fabric is first soaked in alum solution and allowed to dry out; this makes the fiber fire resistant. Then the tissue is pulled through Soap bath, as a result of which insoluble fatty acid clay is formed, which mimics the fibers gives the water-repellent property to drying. It is true that the silk fiber possesses in itself a low absorption capacity for water in contrast to vegetable fibers, however, a filter made of silk gauze or some other fine silk gel fabric fulfills does not fully serve its intended purpose as it does not hold back heat rays and therefore would lead to heat loss. In order to keep the heat in the drum as much as possible and to prevent cooling from the outside air, the silk gauze is between Clamped in copper or brass nets. Copper possesses a high, brass somewhat to a lesser extent, a strong heat conduction, but low heat radiation capacity.
In general, it is sufficient to first put a silk gauze into the chimney slightly larger mesh size (about 46 threads on i square cm), clamped between copper nets, hang in and above it at a certain distance a second filter, consisting of very fine silk gauze (50 to 59 threads on 1 square cm) to be arranged, which between Brass netting is bordered. The drawing shows an implementation of the filter installation shown in Fig. i in a longitudinal section, while Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through shows the framing of the filter on a larger scale.
In the vent a, which is located above the drum and is roughly square Cross-section, there are two copper nets b at an angle, c, which hold back the heat. Through these nets, which the water vapors let flow through, coarser dust particles are held back. Above the first filter a second filter is attached, which consists of three layers, namely in in the middle silk gauze d and above and below each a copper or brass wire mesh e and f. The three layers are clamped in a frame made of tinplate or the like. Between the metal nets and the silk gauze there are layers of asbestos g, lt. Above this filter there is a third filter i. provided, which in the same The way the second is put together, only that the cook is considerably finer and is also held in place by two copper or brass wire nets. The chimney is provided with a roof k through which the water vapors can be drawn off to the side, while the approximately precipitating water flows off laterally outside the chimney.
The dust particles that hit the filters fall off the first filter into the drum, from the second filter to the first, from the third filter back to the second filter.
'The filters, which rest on angle irons, can easily be lifted out and cleaned. '
