Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a semi-automatic bicycle saddle Height adjustment that allows it, on the one hand, while cycling to arrange the saddle high, with almost pushed through Kneel the pedal work on the pedals as fatigue-free as possible to be able to perform, but on the other hand when stopping the Not always having to dismount the bike completely.
To be able to adjust the height of a bicycle saddle, used a rigid seat post that moved in the bike frame can be. This seat post is held by a clamping screw, which is on the bike frame with a wrench fixed. No other techniques are known to me and as far as I know they are not mentioned in specialist magazines.
This conventional type of bicycle saddle height adjustment has the disadvantage that the adjustment of the saddle before driving with Help must be made from tools. While driving there there is no way to change the set state. Changing the saddle height while driving is desirable, on the one hand while driving without unnecessary To be able to exert force and, on the other hand, when stopping, touching the ground with your feet without having to dismount.
The invention has for its object the bicycle saddle while driving comfortably, without tools, from the bicycle handlebar to be able to change in height.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the saddle optionally while riding in the optimal for cycling upper position (drawing 1) or for stopping respectively Approaching the lower position (drawing 3) is held.
The upper part of the seat post, to which the bicycle saddle is attached, is a slide valve ( 4 ), which is inserted by the weight of the rider after the lock ( 5 ) has been released. In a lower position, the lock ( 5 ) engages again and holds the slide valve ( 4 ) with the saddle. Now the rider is able to support himself on the ground with one or both feet without leaving the saddle. After starting again with the saddle lowered, the driver can release the lock ( 5 ) again and while relieving the saddle by releasing the feet on the pedals, the slide valve ( 4 ) with the saddle is released by a counterforce, in the exemplary embodiment a built-in gas pressure spring ( 9 ) , pushed back into the upper position; the lock engages there again. Gas pressure spring ( 9 ) and slide valve ( 4 ) are installed in a sleeve, in the exemplary embodiment a commercially available, long seat post ( 1 ), a lock housing ( 2 ) is soldered to the upper end of this seat post ( 1 ). The gas pressure spring ( 9 ) is commercially available. The upper end of the slide valve ( 4 ) has the same dimensions as fixed seat posts, so that any bicycle saddle can be mounted. The device can also be used on all bicycles with the usual frame dimensions. The lock ( 5 ) is engaged by a lever ( 6 ) by means of a tension spring ( 7 ). It is released from the bicycle handlebar using a Bowden cable ( 8 ) with a hand lever. Bowden cable ( 8 ) and hand lever are commercially available.
The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular in that a larger when stopping or starting Road safety is achieved. This comes for example Mothers with small children on the bike benefit a lot.
Erläuterung der zeichnerischen Darstellung zur halbautomatischen Fahrradsattel-Höhenverstellung.Explanation of the drawing for semi-automatic Bicycle saddle height adjustment.
An embodiment of the invention is in the drawings shown and is described in more detail below.
All drawings are simple longitudinal sections of the most important Parts of the semi-automatic bike height adjustment and show the device in three different positions.
Drawing 1 shows the device in the most favorable upper position for cycling. The slide valve ( 4 ) is pressed in a sleeve, here a long seat post ( 1 ), by a gas pressure spring ( 9 ) all the way up. The lock ( 5 ) is engaged. The tension spring ( 7 ), which acts on the lock ( 5 ) via the lever ( 6 ), holds it securely in place and at the same time has brought the Bowden cable ( 8 ) and the hand lever into its initial position.
Drawing 2 shows the device in the working position. By actuating the hand lever on the bicycle handlebar, the lock ( 5 ) is released via the Bowden cable ( 8 ) and lever ( 6 ). The tension spring ( 7 ) is stretched. The body weight of the driver presses the slide valve ( 4 ) down over the saddle until the lock ( 5 ) snaps into the next recess ( 13 ) in the slide valve ( 4 ). The gas pressure spring ( 9 ) is compressed during this process. The hand lever can be released by the user while the slide valve ( 4 ) is moving.
Drawing 3 shows the lower position of the slide valve ( 4 ). The slide valve ( 4 ) is pressed all the way down, the lock ( 5 ) is engaged again and the gas pressure spring ( 9 ) is fully compressed. The hand lever and Bowden cable ( 8 ) are back in the starting position.
To bring the saddle back into the upper starting position, the hand lever is operated again according to drawing 2. The lock ( 5 ) is released via the Bowden cable ( 8 ) and lever ( 6 ). The tension spring ( 7 ) is stretched. When the driver relieves the load on the saddle, the gas pressure spring ( 9 ) drives the slide valve ( 4 ) upwards. The hand lever is released again and the lock ( 5 ) securely engages in the lower recess ( 14 ) of the slide valve ( 4 ) by means of the tension spring ( 7 ). The saddle is up again.
The following applies to all drawings of this exemplary embodiment: The locking housing ( 2 ) is firmly connected to the sleeve, here a long, commercially available seat post ( 1 ), by brazing. A support arm ( 3 ) for attaching the Bowden cable sheath and for hanging the tension spring ( 7 ) is screwed to the locking housing ( 2 ). The lever ( 6 ) is firmly connected to the lock ( 5 ) by screwing and pinning. The Bowden cable core ( 17 ) is attached to the lever ( 6 ) and the other end of the tension spring ( 7 ) is hooked in. The lock ( 5 ) is a hardened steel cylinder with a milled surface ( 16 ). The lock ( 5 ) is rotatably arranged in the lock housing ( 2 ). The slide valve ( 4 ) in the exemplary embodiment has two millings ( 13 and 14 ) which are adapted to the steel cylinder of the lock ( 5 ) and a milled surface ( 15 ) between the two aforementioned millings ( 13 and 14 ). The milled surface ( 15 ) of the slide valve ( 4 ) is adapted to the milled surface ( 16 ) of the steel cylinder of the lock ( 5 ). This type of locking between the lock ( 5 ) and the slide valve ( 4 ) prevents the slide valve ( 4 ) and thus the saddle from rotating, both in the two locking positions and during the sliding movement. The slide valve ( 4 ) is made of steel in the exemplary embodiment, it can be moved in the sleeve, in this case a long, commercially available seat post ( 1 ), easily but with little play. The slide valve ( 4 ) is designed at the upper end so that it can accommodate any bicycle saddle. At the bottom of the slide valve ( 4 ) there is a cross hole for fastening the gas pressure spring head with a cylinder pin ( 11 ). Deep holes are made from both ends of the slide valve ( 4 ) to reduce weight. In the exemplary embodiment, the gas pressure spring ( 9 ) is supported by a molded part ( 10 ) at the lower end of the sleeve, here a long seat post ( 1 ). Gas pressure spring ( 9 ) and molded part ( 10 ), as well as molded part ( 10 ) and sleeve ( 1 ) are each connected to one another with a cylindrical pin ( 12 ).
