Verfahren zur Herstellung eines zur Farblackbereitung geeigneten grünen Farbstoffes. Es wurde, gefunden, daß man einen Farbstoff erhält, der hervorragend zur Darstellung grüner Farblacke geeignet ist, wenn man die Nitrosoverbindung der 2-Oxynaphtalin-3-carbonsäure (ß-Oxynaphtoesäure vom Schmelzpunkt 2=6°) mit Eisensalzen behandelt. Man erhält so einen dunkelgrünen, in Wasser ziemlich schwer löslichen Farbstoff, der -sich mit Metallsalzen nach der üblichen Methode unter Bildung vollkommen farbloser -Abwässer in Farblackeüberführenläßt. DieerhaltenenLacke haben vorzügliche Eigenschaften, insbesondere sind sie durch ausgezeichnete Lichtechtheit und Echtheit gegen alkalische Leimfarben wertvoll. Sie lassen sich sowohl zu Tapetenfarben wie zu lithographischen Druckfarben, Öl- und anderen Farben verwenden.
