Description
Procedure. for the production of post-chromable dyes of the pyrone series. It was found; that there are aromatic aldehydes in the o-position to the carbonyl group contain one or two - substituents with the exception of the hydroxyl group, with 2, .4- or 2,6-Dioxybenzoic acid or its derivatives or mixtures of acids let condense to leuco acids, which in post-chromable dyes of the pyrone series can be transferred. Optionally, the leuco compounds or dyes can also be sulfonated. Because of their beautiful nuances and good fastness properties they are a valuable addition to the previously known re-chromable dyes the triphenylmethane and pyrone series.
Beispiel i.Example i.
Sie ist in Wasser fast unlöslich und wird durch Eisenchlorid rotstichigblau g e f ärbt.15 parts by weight of 2,6-dichlorobenzaldehyde and z8 parts by weight of 2,4-dioxy-3-methylbenzoic acid (obtained by carbonizing 2,6-dioxytolol, melting point 2o6 to 2o7 ° with decomposition, turning red-violet with FeC13) are dissolved in strong sulfuric acid and stirred until at most traces of the components can be detected. The leuco acid is deposited by pouring the melt onto ice. It is almost insoluble in water and is ferric chloride rotstichigblau ge f ärbt.
Isolation of the leuco compound is used to represent the dye not mandatory. One carries into the melt, if necessary after adding zoop% Sulfuric acid, 7 parts by weight of sodium nitrite and stir at about 3o to 50 °, until there is no further increase in dye formation. The melt will then poured onto ice, which completely precipitates the dye as a red powder will. When dry, it forms a brown powder that is very much in hot water heavily red-orange, in soda or caustic soda slightly scarlet with strong fluorescence is soluble. Concentrated sulfuric acid dissolves yellow. Wool becomes scarlet in an acid bath stained, by treatment with bichromate the staining becomes much more intense Purple over.
- diäthylaminobenzaldehyd, i, 3 - Dichlor-2-aldehydanthrachinon. Others, such as o-chlorobenzaldehyde, behave like the aldehyde mentioned (Dye scarlet), o-sulfobenzaldehyde (dye red-orange), 2-chloro-5-sulfobenzaldehyde (Red dye), 2, 6-dichloro-3-oxybenzaldehyde, 2, q., 6-trichloro-3-oxybenzaldehyde, 2-chlorine, l. - diethylaminobenzaldehyde, i, 3 - dichloro-2-aldehyde anthraquinone. As the aforementioned oxyacid is also related to 2, q.-dioxybenzoic acid, which with o-chlorobenzaldehyde a brownish-red dye provides 2,3-q.-trioxybenzoic acid and 2,6-dioxvbenzoic acid and their derivatives.
Beispiel 2.Example 2.
For example, in 8o parts by weight 10% sulfuric acid dissolved and with 2o Parts by weight of 65 percent oleum are added and the mixture is stirred until a sample is obtained the isolated leuco acid is easily completely soluble in water. The leucosulfonic acid is colored blue-violet by ferric chloride.
To convert it into the dye, the mass is diluted with something Ice or sulfuric acid of 60 ° B6, contributes 1.7 parts by weight of sodium nitrite and stir at moderate heat until dye formation has ended. The melt will poured on ice and salt. The filtered dye is quite light in water Soluble and stains wool with acidic scarlet, chromed intensely red. He's also suitable for stuff printing.
Beispiel 3.Example 3.
Der Farbstoff ist auch zum Druck geeignet.32 parts by weight of the dye according to Example i are parts by weight in Zoo 2% oleum dissolved with cooling. After entering additional zoo parts by weight 65% oleum stirs. one until a sample of the isolated dye is easily and completely soluble in water. The mass turns into something under cooling Entered sulfuric acid of 66 ° Be and then poured the mixture onto ice. Dye that is still in solution can be reprecipitated with solid soda. The filtered dye is after drying a red-brown powder, which is slightly red-orange soluble in cold water, by adding soda in scarlet, turns red with lye. Both alkaline solutions fluoresce strongly. The sour The color of wool is scarlet; after chrome plating, it turns into a much stronger purple above. The dye is also suitable for printing.
