Druckluft, in
Pneumatic tube system for shuttle operation. Pneumatic tube systems with shuttle operation
are essentially carried out according to the arrangement shown in Fig. i. from
a fan g leads a pipe to a transmitting and receiving point I, which by
a conveying pipe r is connected to a transmitting and receiving point II. This stands
in communication with the outside air through the pipe y1. The transport of the pneumatic tube carriers
takes place from position I to position II by means of
Compressed air, in
reverse direction by suction air. The pressure of the conveying air and thus the speed
the air flowing through the delivery pipe during suction operation is in a coordinate system
(Fig.2). The abscissa corresponds to the pipe length, while the air speed
is plotted on the ordinate. The curve a shows that the speed
the flowing air at the open end of the pipe at the pneumatic post station I1 is almost zero
and after point I or the fan zü gradually increases. The curve corresponds
about a hyperbola. This results in the fact, which has been confirmed in the company,
that the pneumatic tube cans near the pneumatic post station II with relatively low
Speed are promoted, sometimes even stopping when in front of the place
II inclines or curves are present.
Diesen. Nachteil will die Erfindung beseitigen.
a, b ergibt.
y1 verschielybar an zwei Schrauben k aufgehängt.
This one. The invention aims to eliminate the disadvantage. Experiments have shown that the speed of the air flowing at the beginning of the pipe increases when the open end of the pipe is partially throttled, as is the case. from a comparison of curves a, b results. Curve a shows the speed with the pipe end completely open, curve b the speed with partial throttling. The pipe length L is plotted on the abscissa axis, while the air velocity is plotted on the ordinate. However, the performance of the fan must then be increased by a few percent, as can be seen from the visual lines c and d representing the corresponding negative pressures. The ordinates give the respective height p of the negative pressure, while the pipe length I. is again plotted on the abscissa axis. Line c shows the corresponding negative pressures when the pipe end is open, line d shows the negative pressures with partial throttling. It can be seen from the curves that, as a result of the increased air speed, a higher pressure difference occurs behind the sleeve located in the pipe, so that it is driven forward with greater force. The bushings are prevented from getting stuck after the throttling has been introduced. It also shortens the total travel time. With compressed air operation, the throttling of the open pipe end would mean a loss of energy. To prevent this, a valve 1 # shown in Fig. 3 is emitted, which only restricts the open air flow when the air is sucked in. The valve consists of a sleeve h which is closed at the bottom and which has longitudinal openings i. is provided. The sleeve h is suspended from two screws k over the open pipe end y1 so that it can be interchanged. In the case of compressed air operation, the sleeve is in the lowest position, so that the preliminary air in front of the sleeve can flow out through the openings i. In the case of suction air operation, however, the external air pressure raises the sleeve h until it hits a stop e of the tube r1. The openings i are thereby partially covered, which causes a throttling of the inflowing air. By changing the stop e, which is arranged displaceably on the wall of the air tube r1, the stroke of the sleeve lz and thus the throttling effect can be regulated.
