Abstract

Package or pack comprises a folding box, esp. of cardboard, and an inner liner. A pull-out tab in one wall of the box is designed to form an opening for drawing off the contents. In the region of this tab the internal lining has a window outlined by an easily torn line. Within the boundary of this tearing line the internal lining is bonded to the tab, so that when the tab is pulled outwards the window portion of the liner is also torn off and accompanies the tab movement. Pref., the edge of the tab is defined by a second easily torn line in the outer cardboard wall. The bonding of the internal lining to the tab may be by adhesive or by sealing. Used in partic. as a tightly sealed box or container for foodstuffs, drinks or other substances which must preserve their sterility and aroma. The packing is easy to open and does not require any special tool or operation for opening the inner lining. When opened, the opening remains tidy in appearance.
