Abstract

1. Au automatic control of an exhaust fan (8) and an intake air damper (10) in boilers that burn solid fuels through a load signal in dependent relation to the existing load of the boiler, characterized in that within a range of standard loading above about 15 percent of the total output of the boiler the speed of the exhaust fan (8) with the opened intake air damper (10) is continuously reduced down to lower load ranges, and that below the range of standard loading the intake air damper (10) is actuated by an intermittent on/off operation with a constant minimum speed of the exhaust fan (8).
