bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht von (A) und (B).
Das erfindungsgemäße Gemisch kann in Kombination mit verschiedenen photopolymerisierbaren organischen
Materialien, wie cyclischen Ethern, cyclischen Estern, Polyvinylacetalen, Epoxidharzen und Phenol/
Formaldehydharzen zur Herstellung UV-härtbarer Massen und wärmehärtbarer Massen verwendet werden.
Die Erfindung beruht auf der Feststellung, daß Arylsuifonium-(selenonium-)salze der obigen Formel in Propylencarbonat
oder Athylencarbonat eingearbeitet werden können und nicht-flüchtige, stabile Arylsulfonium-(selenonium-)salz-Gemische
ergeben.
In der Erfindung wurde die überraschende Feststellung gemacht, daß unter Photopolymcrisationsbedingungen
normalerweise nicht-reaktives Propylencarbonat und Athylencarbonat in Gegenwart von Epoxidharz mit
dem Epoxidharz copolymerisieren. Zudem bleibtderanfallendegehärtete Epoxidharzfilm praktisch starr (nicht
weich gemacht), was in besonderen Fällen wünschenswert ist.
Die in der obigen Formel für das Arylsulfoniumsalz genannten Reste für R können gleich oder verschieden
sein. Die aromatischen Reste können carbocyclische oder heterocyclische Reste sein, und sie können 4 bis 20
Kohlenstoffatome aufweisen. Die für R stehenden einwertigen aromatischen Reste können mit I bis 4 einwertigen
Resten, ausgewählt unterCn-sj-Alkoxy-, C,|-8)-Alkyl-, Nitro-und Chlorgruppcn substituiert sein. Rist insbesondere
ein Phenyl, Chlorphenyl, Nitrophenyl, Methoxyphenyl oder Pyridylrcst.
Die Reste, die in der obigen Formel fur R' stehen können, umfassen C() _8)-Alkyl, wie Methyl- und Äthylsowie
die substituierten Alkylreste -C2H4OCH3, -CH2COOC2H5 und -CH2COCH3.
Die Reste Tür R2 in der obigen Formel für das Arylsulfoniumsalz sind:

E. Gocthals und P.De Radzetzky, BuI. Soc. Chim. BeIg. 73, 546 (1964) und H.M. Leicester und F.W. Bergslrom,
J. Am. Chem. Soc. 51, 3587 (1929) geschildert.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand eines Beispiels näher erläutert. Alle Teile beziehen sich auf das
Gewicht.
59,7 Teile einer 50%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Triphenylsulfoniumchlorid und 26 Teile Natriumhexafluorantimonat
wurden zu 80 Teilen Propylencarbonat gegeben. Das ausgefallene Natriumchlorid wurde nach gründlichem
Rühren vom Gemisch abfiltriert. Die erhaltene Triphenylsulfoniumhexafluorantimonat/Propylencarbonal-Lösung
enthielt 50 Gew.-% des Triphenylsulfoniumsalzes. Ein Teil der obigen Triphenylsulfoniumsalzlösung
wurde in ein verschlossenes Gefäß gefüllt und 12 Monate unter AtmospMrenbedingungen aufbewahrt.
Es zeigte sich, daß die Salzlösung nach der langen Lagerzeit praktisch unverändert geblieben war.
Nach der gleichen Arbeitsweise wurden verschiedene weitere Triphenylsulfoniumsalz/Propylencarbonat-Lösungen
mit Konzentrationen von 1 bis 50% Feststoffen hergestellt. Die verschiedenen Salzlösungen wurden
5 Minuten mit UV-Licht unter Verwendung einer 750-Watt-UV-Quecksilberdampflampe mittleren Druckes in
einem Abstand von 15 crn bestrahlt. Es zeigte sich, daß das Propylencarbonat als Folge der Bestrahlung praktisch
unverändert blieb, was bestätigte, daß das Propylencarbonat praktisch nicht reagiert, wenn es in Gegenwart
des Triphcnyisulfoniumhexafluorantimonats bestrahlt wird.
Hin Triphenylsulfoniumhexafluorantirnonat/Propylencarbonat-Gernisch mit 50 Gew.-% des Salzes im
Gemisch wurde frisch hergestellt. Durch Vermischen von 4 Teilen des genannten 50% Salz/Lösungsmittel-Gcmischcs
mit 96 Teilen 3,4-Epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3',4'-epoxycyc!ohexancarboxylat wurde eine härtbare
Masse hergestellt. Die fertige härtbare Masse bestand aus 2 Gew.-% des Triphenylsulfoniumhexafluorantimonat-Katalysalors,
2 Gew.-% Propylencarbonat und 96 Gew.-% Epoxidharz.
Das Gemisch wurde 30 s mit UV-Licht einer 750-Watt-UV-QuecksiIberdampflampe mittleren Druckes aus
einem Abstand von 15 cm bestrahlL Die gleiche Arbeitsweise wurde mit der Ausnahme wiederholt, daß ein
härtbares Gemisch mit2% des Sulfoniumsalzes und 98% des Epoxidharzes hergestellt wurde. Das Propylencarbonat-freie
Gemisch wurde dann nach der gleichen Arbeitsweise, wie zuvor beschrieben, bestrahlt.
Noch ein drittes Gemisch wurde bestrahlt, das aus 93 Gew.-% Epoxidharz, 2 Gew.-% des Sulfoniumsalzes und
5 Gew.-% Alhylcnglykol bestand.
Die Bleistifthärten der erhaltenen gehärteten Epoxidharzfilme wurden dann miteinanderverglichen, um den
Grad der Weichmachung, wenn überhaupt, in den jeweiligen Filmen zu bestimmen. Wenn der aus dem Propylcncarbonat-haltigen
Gemisch stammende Film mit dem aus dem Propylencarbonat-freien, härtbaren Epoxidhar/.gemisch
stammenden Film verglichen wird, findet man, daß der propylencarbonathaltige Film einen Härtewert
höher liegt als das Propylencarbonat-freie Gemisch. Der aus dem 5 Gew.-% Äthylenglykol enthaltenden
Gemisch hergestellte Film zeigte eine geringere Bleistifthärte als die anderen.

- Die Erfindung betrifft ein stabiles Arylsulfonium-Cselenonium-Jsalz/Lösungsmittel-Gemisch.Nach dtr US-PS 30 58 401 können Arylsulfoniumsalze zusammen mit einem organischen Lösungsmittel als Lösung oder Dispersion verwendet werden.Die US-PS 41 54 872 gibt katalytische Lösungen von Sulfoniumsalzen an, wobei das Lösungsmittel-Gemisch ein Polyol mit wenigstens zwei Hydroxylgruppen und ein Lacton enthält.Die BE-PS 8 45 746 lehrt, daß die Gegenwart von Polyolen in einem Gemisch aus Epoxidharz und Sulfonium-.sal/en /u einem biegsam gemachten, gehärteten F.poxidha.zfilm führen kann.In der I)Ii-OS 25 41 709 sind Gemische aus Arylsullbniumsalz und Lösungsmittel in Form von Lösungen beschrieben, bei denen das Lösungsmittel nur als Verdünnungsmittel eingesetzt wird und irgendeine inerte Flüssigkeil ist, in der das Arylsulfoniumsalz ausreichend löslich ist. Beispiele geeigneter Verdünnungsmittel sind halogcnierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Methylenchlorid; Ketone, wie Aceton und Alkohole, wie Äthylalkohol, die alle leicht verdampfen, um ihre Entfernung zu erleichtern. Der Zweck des Einsatzes des Verdünnungsmittels nach der obigen OS ist es, das Einarbeiten des AryJsulfoniumsalzes in damit zu polymerisierende Materialien, wie Epoxyharze, zu erleichtern, denn ein solches Verdünnungsmittel ist nicht erforderlich, wenn das zu polymerisierende Material ein Monomeres ist, in dem das Arylsulfoniumsalz löslich ist.Demgegenüber lag der vorliegenden Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein für sich stabiles Arylsulfonium-(selenonium-)salz/Lösungsmittel-Gemisch zu schaffen, das aber das Herstellen von hochwertigen Copolymeren unter Copolymerisieren des Lösungsmittels gestattet, wenn es zusammen mit anderen photopolymerisierbaren Materialien eingesetzt wird.Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß gelöst durch ein Gemisch der eingangs genannten Art, bestehend aus einer wäßrigen Lösung von
