Illuminated figure

The invention consists of a decorative figure that can be illuminated from the inside and can also be placed outside. Figures that can be placed outside for decorative purposes are well known, including so-called putti, which are made from a type of plaster or alabaster. However, these figures cannot be illuminated from the inside because the light would not shine through.

The problem is therefore: How can a decorative lamp be produced in the form of a figure that, when viewed from the outside, is visually similar to the previously known figures made of opaque plaster or alabaster, and can also be illuminated from the inside.

The invention solves the problem as follows:

The desired figure is made as a hollow body. So that a light source installed in the cavity can shine through the wall, the wall is made of translucent material, preferably plastic. The plastic is colored so that the figure resembles the familiar plaster or alabaster figures during the day and with the interior lighting switched off. At night and with the interior lighting switched on, part of the light source inside shines outwards - the figure glows. In order to keep production as inexpensive as possible, the hollow body that represents the figure is preferably manufactured using a plastic blow molding process. The interior lighting is installed in such a way that no rain or splash water can reach live parts, but the possibility of ventilation (heat dissipation) is still provided.

The body (1) of the illuminated figure is manufactured using a plastic blow molding process, using semi-transparent, preferably light-colored material.

On the underside (2) of the body (1) of the light figure there is an opening (3) into which a base (4) can be inserted, which serves as an attachment point for a socket (5) into which a light source (6) can be inserted. The electrical supply line (7) is led from the inside to the outside through a hole (8) and a sealing strain relief (9).

There are at least two holes (11) on the side (10) of the base (4) that serve for ventilation. A splash guard (15) is arranged above each of these holes (11). The base (4) is shaped in such a way that there is enough space (12) next to the electrical supply line (7) to ensure adequate ventilation.

To ensure that the relatively light body (1) of the illuminated figure stands securely, an additional spike (13) can be attached to the underside (2) of the illuminated figure using a screw (14). The body of the illuminated figure can then be secured against tipping over by pressing the spike (14) into the ground.

Protection claims: 1) Illuminated figure, which essentially consists of a body (1), a base (4), a socket (5), a light source (6) and an electrical supply line (7), characterized in that the body (1) is made of translucent material; that the body is provided on its underside (2) has an opening (3); that a light source (6) is arranged inside the Body (1) can be mounted. 2) Illuminated figure according to claim 1 , characterized in that the body (1) is made of plastic or glass and, viewed from the outside, is similar to a figure made of plaster, plaster-like material or alabaster. 3) Illuminated figure according to one of the preceding claims , characterized in that the body (1) is manufactured using the plastic blowing process or the glass blowing process. 4) Illuminated figure according to one of the preceding claims , characterized in that a spike (13) can be attached to the underside (2) of the body (1) and/or the base (4) in such a way that the spike (13) increases the stability of the body (1). 5) Illuminated figure according to one of the preceding claims , characterized in that the body (1) and/or the base (4) have at least one ventilation hole (11). 6) Illuminated figure according to one of the preceding claims , characterized characterized in that the live parts inside the body (1) are splash-proof.
