Räume in historischen Gebäuden wie Kirchen, Schlössern, Burgen, Rathäusern, Museen usw. weisen oft großflächige Maßwerkfenster auf. Das große Problem ist, daß auf der einen Seite zusätzliche Lüftungsrahmen einzubauen sind, um den notwendigen Luftaustausch zu schaffen, aber auf der anderen Seite die nicht wiedergutzumachende Schädigung durch Verkleinerung der Glaskunstwerke (Bleiverglasung) zu vermeiden ist.These glass panels are often artistically valuable leaded glass.
