Description
FormsteinFormstone
The invention relates to a shaped brick for producing bricks or wall bricks, which have a projection running essentially parallel and adjacent to an edge of the brick or wall brick.
Such wall stones are popular and frequently used because they can be easily handled by anyone, including laymen, and a wall can be built without any problems, for example in the garden or similar. They are therefore extremely easy to use, as the stones only have to be placed on top of each other to form the wall, with the projections hooking onto the respective rear upper edge of the stone underneath and thus preventing the stone from sliding forward. If, for example, the wall is then filled with soil on one side, sufficient support is provided as a result of the wedging by the projection, without the need for additional fastening means. The wall stones themselves are manufactured as individual stones, for example cast from concrete. This is disadvantageous, however, in that each individual stone has to be handled individually both in the factory and on site, which is very labor-intensive and therefore time-consuming. In addition, the production of the stones is also complex, as each stone has to be manufactured individually in the appropriate shape.
The invention is therefore based on the problem of specifying a shaped brick with which the disadvantages mentioned above are eliminated.
To solve this problem, a shaped block is provided which is characterized according to the invention in that the cuboid shaped block has two projections which run essentially parallel and adjacent to one edge of the shaped block and essentially parallel to one another and are arranged on a common side of the shaped block, and that a predetermined breaking point is provided which runs essentially parallel to the projections and along which the shaped block can be divided to form two individual blocks.
The molded stone according to the invention therefore combines two bricks or wall stones into one another, which can be obtained by simply dividing the molded stone along the predetermined breaking point. Each brick or wall stone is characterized by the fact that it has a corresponding projection on the edge, so that two identical bricks or wall stones can be obtained using one molded stone. Only a single stone needs to be produced and handled, the actual "single stone production" only takes place directly on site by simply dividing or splitting the molded stone.
The predetermined breaking point, which runs in the middle of the molded block, since of course largely identical blocks are to be produced, can be implemented according to the invention in the form of a notch or the like formed on the side opposite the side with the projections, in which a splitting tool, for example a splitting wedge or a chisel or the like, is inserted in the simplest way and along which the molded block breaks when a corresponding force is applied. In order to be able to guide the predetermined breaking point even more precisely, according to the invention a second notch or the like can be provided, which runs on the side with the projections essentially parallel to the first notch or the like and is formed opposite it.
The molded stone according to the invention is extremely easy to handle when splitting due to its specific design, since no additional support tools are required, as the projections arranged on one side already serve as support supports. If the predetermined breaking point is attacked, the stone breaks apart without any problem, as the entire stone body is self-supporting in the area of the predetermined breaking point. In order to simplify splitting even further, the invention can also provide for the projections to be arranged directly on the respective edge, so that the projections are as far apart from each other as possible and the moment acting on the predetermined breaking point during splitting is even greater.
Within the scope of the invention, it can further be provided that the projections are essentially rectangular in cross section and have one or more recesses on their surface running essentially parallel to the molded block side, which, in a further embodiment of the invention, can be designed as a groove extending along the projection, in which water accumulating in this area can be guided.
Um den Formstein möglichst einfach herstellen zu können, kann dieser erfindungsgemäß aus, gegebenenfalls gefärbtem, Beton gebildet sein, da der BetonIn order to be able to manufacture the molded stone as simply as possible, it can be made of concrete, possibly colored, as the concrete
B. Basalte, Quarze und Sandsteine gewählt werden, selbst metallene Zuschläge oder Zuschläge aus Kunststoff oder Glas sind verwendbar.&iacgr;&ogr; is easy to cast and can also be colored without difficulty if desired. Since the molded stone is split and consequently each individual wall or brick has a fracture side which, after the individual bricks have been stacked on top of one another, represents the visible front side, a further embodiment of the invention can provide for one or more aggregates to be introduced into the concrete at least in the area of the predetermined breaking point, which are visible on the fracture surface of the individual bricks after parts of the molded stone have been broken. In this way, it is possible to achieve a variation in the appearance of the wall without problems by choosing different aggregates, since this makes it very easy to design it accordingly. Basalt, quartz and sandstone, for example, can be selected as aggregates; even metal aggregates or aggregates made of plastic or glass can be used.
Dabei zeigen: Further advantages, features and details of the invention emerge from the example described below and from the drawings. They show:

Fig. 1 shows a molded stone 1 according to the invention, which has a substantially cuboid-shaped stone body 2. A projection 5 is formed on its underside 3 in extension of the end faces 4. The projections 5 extend along and parallel to the edge of the end faces 4. The projections shown in this embodiment have a substantially rectangular cross-section and are provided with a groove 6 on their underside, see Fig. 2, which extends over the entire length of the projection 5 and along which water accumulating in this area can be guided.
On the top side 7 of the molded block 1, a substantially V-shaped notch 9 is formed in order to create a predetermined breaking point 8 shown in dashed lines in Fig. 1, which is arranged essentially in the middle of the top side 7 and thus in the middle of the projections 5 and extends parallel to them over the entire top side 7. A notch 10 complementary to the notch 9 is formed in the same shape on the bottom side 3. In order to split the molded block 1 shown in Fig. 1 in order to obtain two individual blocks 11, one of which is shown in Fig. 2, a splitting element 12, for example a splitting wedge or the like, and a hammer 13 are used to attach the notch 9 to the top. The molded block 1 rests on the floor with the projections 5 at the bottom, i.e. these support the molded block on the floor. The entire molded stone body 2 is thus spaced from the ground in the area of the predetermined breaking point 8. If the notch 9 and thus the predetermined breaking point 8 are now acted on with appropriate force, this leads to the stone "floating" in the middle breaking along the predetermined breaking point. The result is two individual stones, one of which is shown in Fig. 2. On the fracture surface 14, the individual stone 11 has a corresponding relief or pattern, which depends on whether and which additives were introduced into the concrete from which the molded stone 1 is most easily formed. These additives can be differently colored stones or the like, e.g. basalt, quartz, sandstone or others, the choice of material is not limited here.
Die Bruchfläche 14 bildet beim Aufeinanderschichten der Einzelsteine 11, wie in Fig. 3 gezeigt, die Frontseite 15 des beim Aufeinanderschichten entstehendenWhen the individual stones 11 are stacked on top of each other, as shown in Fig. 3, the fracture surface 14 forms the front side 15 of the resulting
Mauerwerks. Masonry. As can be seen in Fig. 3, the individual stones are placed with their undersides 16 on the corresponding upper side 17 of the stone below. The respective projection 5 arranged at the end of the individual stone hooks onto the rear edge of the respective lower stone and leads to a sufficient connection of the stones to one another, for example if they are filled with soil 18 or the like on their rear side. In order to anchor the wall shown in Fig. 3 sufficiently in the ground, the lowest stone is preferably set in a foundation 19 made of lean concrete, whereby the actual construction of the wall can begin after the foundation 19 has hardened. The individual stones can be easily manufactured directly on site by splitting the shaped stone 1.
