DESCRIPTION SANITARY WET ROOM

The invention relates to a cabin space or a sanitary wet room according to the preamble of claim 1.

Prefabricated sanitary walls or wet rooms that can be used in houses, mobile homes, railway carriages or the like as shower and/or washing and/or toilet cubicles are generally known. Such installation units or cubicles are designed in such a way that they can be manufactured industrially in large quantities and enable quick and easy assembly in relatively small spaces for the specified purpose.

Such a compact sanitary installation unit is known, for example, from DE OS 20 17 850. In this version, the drains for the washbasin, bathtub or shower are connected to a common drain socket, which is also connected to the drain of the toilet bowl.

In addition, DE OS 19 05 572 has disclosed a prefabricated sanitary wall that is permanently installed in a room and is already equipped with a washbasin, a faucet, connections for the fresh water supply and, if necessary, a water heater and a collecting basin as well as a drainage pump. The use of such a wall is, however, extremely limited, as there is no possibility of showering due to the lack of a closure in the room.

Through USP 4,653,128, a modular prefabricated unit for a bath or shower room has also become known. This modular facility has

a washbasin, a toilet and a pump system, as well as a shower. Although this unit is designed to take up as little space as possible when retrofitted into small rooms, this modular cell also has the disadvantage that the shower basin still takes up a lot of space and has to be enclosed by solid walls or doors.

All wet rooms of this type that have been known so far have the disadvantage that the space required for this room cannot be used for other purposes, such as purely as living space. This is particularly disadvantageous when there is only very limited space, such as in mobile homes, train sleeping cars, living containers, camping trailers or the like.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a wet room with a shower and/or a washing facility and/or a toilet, which enables the space required for a shower to be used for other purposes, in particular residential purposes.

The solution according to the invention results from the characterizing part of claim 1. Further features of the invention or embodiments result from claims 2 to 9.

The solution according to the invention has the advantage that the door, due to its design, creates space in one position, for example for showering/washing and in the other position for living or working or other activities. In other words, this means that existing space can be used twice or more times thanks to this special design of the door. For example, when installing in a mobile home, the existing shower area can be enlarged.

In addition, this type of door design has the advantage that it can be made very easily from plastic and can be retrofitted into the rooms mentioned as well as into prefabricated wet rooms or cabins in mobile homes, containers, sleeping/living compartments in railway carriages or camping trailers. A door of this type can be manufactured industrially without any technical problems and with a precise fit and is easy to install in each of the applications mentioned.

The invention will now be explained in more detail using embodiments shown in the drawing. In the drawing:

Fig. 1 shows the front view of a cabin or wet room 11. The cabin 11 itself is delimited by walls 7. The cabin 11 has an entrance that can be closed off by the door 1. The door 1 is designed as a semi-cylindrical or half-barrel-shaped shell to close off the cabin or wet room 11 or a very confined space, which is rotatably mounted on the upper and lower boundary surfaces in the (circular) center. A handle with a locking mechanism 2 is provided for moving and closing the door 1. Fig. 3 shows a horizontal section with the door 1 in the normal position in the cabin 11. In this illustration, the (circular) center 5 for the semi-cylindrical or half-barrel-shaped shell of the door 1 can be clearly seen. The door 1 or the shell has seals or sealing profiles 4 on both sides, which are effective both in the position of the door 1 shown and in the position of the door 1 rotated by 180°. In addition, a washbasin and/or shower facility 10 is to be found on the right.

Fig. 2 shows a vertical section of the front view according to Fig. 1. In this illustration, the boundary walls 7 and the water drain 6 for the shower in the floor 8 as well as the pivot pins 5 for the door 1 can be clearly seen. The door 1 is equipped with a folding seat 3 and a wall cupboard arranged above it, which has a longitudinally movable cupboard door 12. At the lower end of this cupboard door 12 there is a splash guard 9 which can consist of a plastic film, for example. Inside the cupboard there are cupboard compartments 15, which are covered by the cupboard door 12 when it is in the upper position. The longitudinally adjustable cupboard door 12 must be pushed into the lower position, which is shown in dashed lines, before showering, especially when the folding seat 3 is folded up. This position of the cabinet door protects the seat surface of the folding seat 3 and the space behind it from splash water. To guide the cabinet door 12, sliding rails 16 are arranged on the door 1 as shown in Fig. 1.

Fig. 4 shows a horizontal section of the cabin according to Fig. 1 when the cabin is in use. The door 1 is closed, i.e. compared to Fig. 3 it has been moved around the center point 5 in accordance with the direction arrows 14 into its closing position. The line on the right shows the path of the door when it is turned or moved. The washbasin and/or shower facility 10, which is adapted to the shape or profile of the door 1, is also shown in a top view. When the door 1 is closed, the cabin space 11 now also includes part of the space otherwise used for living or other purposes. If this door 1 designed in this way is installed in a mobile home, for example, the design of the door 1 according to Figures 1 and 3 means that in one position the space located in the path 13 of the door 1 can be used as living space, while in the other position of the door 1 according to Figures 2 and 4 it can be used for showering and/or washing purposes. Of course, any other use of the double-used space created in this way is also possible.

Cabin space, sanitary wet room or small room for showering and/or washing, which are arranged in mobile homes, containers, shower/washing and living/sleeping cabins of railway carriages or camper vans, characterised by, that the door (1) for closing off the cabin space or the wet room (11) or an existing small space is formed as a semi-cylindrical or semi-barrel-shaped shell which is rotatably mounted on the upper and lower boundary surfaces in the (circular) center (5). 2. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to protection claim 1, characterized in that that a bearing or pivot pin (5) is arranged between the upper ceiling wall (7) and a lower floor, in particular the floor (8) of the wet room or the cabin space (11) for supporting the door (1). 3. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 1 or 2, characterized in that that the door (1) is equipped with a folding seat (3) and a wall cupboard arranged above it, which has a longitudinally sliding cupboard door (12) at the lower end of which a splash guard (9) is arranged. 4. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 1 to 3, characterized in that that when the door (1) is closed, the cabinet door (12) with splash protection (9) which can be moved lengthwise in a cabinet door guide (16) serves as a cover for a folded-up folding seat (3) and exposes the cabinet compartments (15). 5. Cabin space, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 1 to 4, characterized in that that the door (1) has circumferential seals or sealing profiles (4) which are formed in a watertight manner to corresponding counterparts on the walls (7) or on existing washbasins and/or shower facilities (10). 6. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 1 to 5, characterized in that that the door (1) is semicircular or half-barrel-shaped or the like and is guided in a circular manner according to a course line (13). 7. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 3 or 4, characterized in that that the splash guard (9) is designed as a curtain made of waterproof material. 8. Cabin room, wet room or small room according to one of the protection claims 1 to 6, characterized in that that the door (1), optionally with handle and locking mechanism (2), is formed from plastic with at least one folding seat (3) and a wall cupboard (12, 14, 15).
