The transport device is constituted by a rotating compartment in the form of a hollow cylinder closed at its base and interrupted by a central vertical plane constituting the front of the compartment open for access to the interior of the compartment and having a height-adjustable seat and handle for the user, the compartment being rotatable by at least 180 ° about an axis passing through its geometric centre and arranged to receive a rotary motion from a remotely controlled motor.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an improved bathroom, which is commonly used in industry for the manufacture of bathroom compartments, whether for domestic or sanitary use, with the aim of facilitating the toilet and personal cleansing of persons with impaired mobility and/or disabled persons without the need for the help of persons bringing them into the shower.
To this end, the invention improves the transport device of the bathroom, which allows the user to be brought into the bathroom for their cleaning, using a rotating compartment provided internally with height-adjustable seats and gripping means for automatically receiving a rotation movement about a vertical axis passing through the geometric centre of the compartment, which allows a safe transport by the user from the outside of the bathroom to the inside thereof.
Similarly, the invention provides a transport device for a shower cubicle, which can be constituted by a vertical rotating panel with a rotating movement about a vertical axis passing through its geometric center, and which has associated height-adjustable seats and armrests, allowing the user to sit and grip to be transported by rotation of the panel from the outside to the inside of the shower cubicle for combing and cleaning.
Finally, the invention comprises a rotary carriage device located at the front of the bathroom and in close proximity to the entrance door of the bathroom, so as to be attached with its edges to the rotary carriage device by means of watertight joints, so that the shower enclosure is watertight. It is also provided that the door is automatically opened, so that the transport device can be rotated towards the inside and outside of the shower cubicle and also automatically closed during the shower and/or the cleaning of the user.
Background
In the current state of the art, the use of wheelchairs is known, which allows them to be manually housed in a bathroom for toilet washing and cleaning by persons with impaired mobility who previously sat on, for example in the utility model "portable shower cubicle for handicapped persons" under publication number ES 1042996U.
These types of seats have the disadvantage that they require an assistant to bring the user into the shower or bath tub, all of which can sometimes be embarrassing for the user due to the need to protect their privacy.
On the other hand, in order to bring the wheeled seat into the tub, it is necessary for the tub to have a cut-out to allow the wheels to enter the shower enclosure, which can result in water from the shower escaping through the cut-out, flooding the bathroom, which is extremely uncomfortable for using this type of shower in the home.
Similarly, another type of wheelchair is known from the prior art, the seat of which is removable and has a lower guide mounted on a platform housed inside the bath, as is the case with new ES1035481U No. "device for moving seats for bathtubs".
These types of chairs require the help of several people to extract the seat of the disabled person and to accommodate it in the bath, which may annoy the user of their work to the surrounding people.
On the other hand, these types of seats have the drawback that their construction is extremely complex and that they require assembly and disassembly work to use the same bathroom seat as for transport, which wastes the time and energy for the user to clean.
Finally, US patent No. US6195815B1, entitled "unit for shower", is also known in the prior art, which claims the following: comprising a support means in the form of an elongate panel adapted to be mounted by its substantially horizontal longer edge and to receive a mounted vehicle, the vehicle comprising a front panel, a rear panel and a third intermediate panel, the front and rear panels extending downwardly on each side of the elongate support panel respectively, the set of panels forming a "U" shape which slides in opposition across the edge of the support panel, and the "U" shaped front panel providing a seat.
This type of patent has the drawback of presenting a more structurally complex conveying device, since it is constituted by a plurality of movable panels, which is unsafe when moving the conveying assembly through the elongated support panel, and has a greater weight, which reduces its resistance to deformation, independently of the rotary conveyance of the patent applied.
Similarly, said us patent lacks a door to close the compartment during the shower, which, in addition to creating the problem of lack of watertightness to the shower water, also results in lack of privacy for the user.
Finally, in the mobile device of the us patent there is no automation of the movement of the rotating transport device, the technical problem solved is to provide a more comfortable shower cubicle for use by persons who are immobile or in wheelchairs.
Object of the Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide the market with an improved bathroom, the improvement focusing on the rotary transport means with which the bathroom is provided, so that users with impaired mobility can load on the transport means and be able to perform a rotary movement about a vertical axis, facilitating the transfer by rotation of the user from outside the bathroom to the inside thereof for combing or cleaning.
Similarly, the rotary transport device is arranged in front of the bathroom and in close proximity to the entrance door of said bathroom, so that this door can be closed on the rotary transport device to create a good water tightness of the bathroom.
Furthermore, the opening and closing movement of the door has also been automated, which allows the door of the bathroom to be opened automatically, so that the transport device can be turned or swiveled inside and outside the bathroom, and also closed automatically during the shower and/or the cleaning of the user.
Disclosure of Invention
According to the invention, the improved bathroom, whose base is constituted by the shower tray, consists of an enclosure with transportable and/or fixed walls, and has improved transport means to transfer the disabled or handicapped persons to the inside of the bathroom for personal hygiene.
For this purpose, the transport means are constituted by a rotating compartment having the shape of a hollow cylinder, closed at its base and interrupted by a central vertical plane constituting the front of the compartment and kept open for the user to access the inside of the compartment, wherein said compartment has in the lower base a height-adjustable seat and an external handle, all of which are ready to be used as transport means for the user, to be transported by turning to the inside of the bathroom.
For said transport, the compartment is able to turn or rotate at least 180 ° about a vertical axis passing through its geometric centre and its rotary motion is transmitted by a remotely controlled motor driving a vertical axis defined by an upper section of the axis projecting perpendicularly from the upper and lower bases of the compartment and by another lower section of the axis.
The axial sections are supported by bearings provided on the upper and lower rails of the shower enclosure to facilitate rotation of the axial sections by motors and drive gears also supported on the upper rails of the shower enclosure.
All this is arranged so that a user accommodated and seated in the rotating compartment can transport it by turning it at least 180 ° inside the bathroom, leaving the rear of the rotating compartment as a closing surface for the area of the bathroom itself.
Similarly, the invention is arranged to: the transport means of the bathroom can consist of a rotating vertical panel provided with an external reinforcement or internal frame of metal or any other resistant material, while its front face has associated height-adjustable seats and some arms for gripping.
The swivel vertical panel has upper and lower axis sections extending vertically and is adapted to receive the rotary motion of a remotely controlled motor that rotates and turns at least 180 ° and is supported by sockets of the upper and lower crossbars to transport users from outside the shower enclosure to the interior thereof, leaving the rear of the vertical swivel panel as a closure to an area of the shower enclosure.
The invention is also configured to: a transport device in the form of a swivel compartment or a swivel vertical panel can be provided at the front of the bathroom in close proximity to the doors of said bathroom, so that the doors are closed on the transport device by watertight joints, which ensures the watertightness of the bathroom.
The invention also provides that: the opening and closing movement of the doors of the bathroom is automatic, which allows the doors to be automatically closed on the edge of the rotating compartment or on the edge of the rotating vertical panel once the compartment or panel has been turned 180 ° towards the inside of the bathroom for the user to clean (the doors are ready to be opened automatically), so that the rotating compartment or rotating vertical panel returns by counter-rotation to its original user loading and unloading position.
