Abstract

The centre of gravity (S) can be deployed between at least two positions (10,11) using a roller weight (9) to move between the two positions within the swimming float. The invention relates to a toy floating body according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such toy floats can be floating toy animals, toy ships and the like. These toy floats are characterized by the fact that they float in a relatively stable position in the water and return to this stable position even after changes.

The invention is based on the object of designing a toy floating body of the generic type in such a way that the play value is increased.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1. Due to the changeable center of gravity, the floating body can assume several stable floating positions. For example, a whale can swim in an approximately horizontal position and alternatively in a steeply upright position with a significant part of its head out of the water. The toy float shown in the drawing is designed as a whale. It has a torso 1, at one end of which there is a head 2 with a pivoting lower jaw 3 and at the other end a tail fin 4. A dorsal fin 6 protrudes from the back 5. The torso 1 is largely hollow, so it has an interior 7 that is closed at the bottom by a lid 8. The torso 1 and the lid 8 are made of a weldable plastic, so that after the lid 8 is welded all around to the torso 1, the interior 7 is sealed watertight.

In the specific embodiment, the rolling weight 9 in its front position 10 shown on the right in Fig. 1, adjacent to the head 2, serves to align the whale's center of gravity S so that it swims in a horizontal position in the water, as shown in Fig. 1. In the rear position 11 of the rolling weight 9, shown only in dash-dotted lines, the center of gravity S is shifted so far back that the head 2 and the adjacent part of the torso 1 protrude high out of the water. Since in this position 11 the rolling weight 9 rests firmly against the outer stop 13 anyway, the inner stop 15 could be dispensed with at this point. Accordingly, in this position the height guide rails 21 in this area would not need to be present, as can be seen in Figs. 2 and 3.
