Anwendungsgebiet der ErfindungField of application of the invention
The protein hydrolyzates produced according to the invention can used v / earth for the production of illus- trated synthetic Diets, for the preparation of infusion solutions, of amino acid tablets for the treatment of chronic kidney failure and for the manufacture of preparations for the treatment of phenylketonuria «
Charakteristik der bekannten technischen LösungenCharacteristics of the known technical solutions
Nach DWP 70096 The products produced in a known manner by hydrolysis of proteins contain, in addition to the desired proportion of amino acids or low molecular weight peptides, practically all by-products formed during hydrolysis, such as amines, keto acids, ammonium salts, etc. Some of the accompanying substances give the protein hydrolysates an unpleasant taste, which has an adverse effect when administered orally. It has already been versuoht, taste improving hydrolysates in that converted by the addition of sodium hydroxide, the amounts contained in the hydrolyzate of glutamic acid and aspartic acid in the sodium salts v / ground, the taste-improving effect is known. This process is protected by American patent no. 2991309. According to DWP 70096

With regard to the use of such hydrolysates On the one hand, the presence of glutamic acid and aspartic acid is undesirable because they are considered non-essential Amino acids represent dietary fiber, on the other hand, by means of the known methods, experience has shown that 30 complete Removal of odor and taste-forming by-products can be achieved that on the application of Geschr.ackskorrigentien can be dispensed with. Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplain the essence of the invention
The technical problem solved by the invention
Die Mängel der bisher bekannten Lösungen bestehen darin, daß nur ein geschmackaverbeasernder Effekt erzielt wird und eine Erhöhung der biologischen Wertigkeit sowie die Entfernung v/eiterer Nebenprodukte nicht erfolgteThe shortcomings of the previously known solutions are that only one taste-obscuring effect is achieved and one There was no increase in the biological value or the removal of other by-products
- Merkmale der Erfindung- Features of the invention
Als Lösungsmittel kommen u.a. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the protein hydrolyzates produced in a known manner and present as a dry powder are extracted with solvents. The solvents used include alcohols, mainly methanol, ethanol, propanol or isopropanol. In practice, the protein hydrolyzate obtained by spray drying or a similar method with a water content of up to 8 % is heated with a little methanol or another suitable alcohol to the boiling point of the alcohol in question. The solid that remained undissolved is separated from the solvent by suction on a suction filter or by centrifugation. The solid is washed with a small amount of the same alcohol and dried in the air or in another suitable manner. The protein hydrolyzate obtained in this way is tasteless and odorless and contains no amines, ammonium salts or keto acids. The biological value of the product obtained is increased according to the amount of by-products removed, in that the proportion of essential amino acids increases compared to the starting product. The method according to the invention can also be used with those hydrolysates from which glutamic acid and aspartic acid have been removed or from which the phenylalanine has been removed in the course of the production process using known methods.
