Description
in der R1 eine Cs-C22-Alkyl- oder Alkylengruppe,
R2 eine C8-C22-AIk)I- oder Alkylengruppe oder r,
eine Q-Q-Alkylgruppe und R3, R4 und R5 gleiche
oder verschiedene Q-Gt-Alkylgruppen bedeuten,
als FaserpräparationsmiUel, wobei die Verbindungen entweder allein oder zusammen mit anderen,
üblichen Bestandteilen von Faserpräparationsmilteln auf die Fasern aufgebracht werden.
Es ist bekannt, daW sich quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen
gut als antistatische Komponente für die Faserpräparation eignen (Lindner, Tenside-Tcxtilhilfsmittcl-Waschrohsloffe,
Bd. Il Seile 1618). r. Es ist aber auch bekannt, daU sich quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen,
die in //'-Stellung zum Stickstoffatom ein Wasscrstoffatom tragen, beim Erhitzen unter
Olcfinbildung zersetzen (Cram-Hammond Organic Chemistry 1959, S. 399 IT.). Diese Reaktion kann be- hi
reitsbei 150 "C ein treten. Auf der anderen Seite arbeitet
man heute in der Fascrinduslrie bei sehr hohen Geschwindigkeiten, wobei auf die Faser Temperaturen
bis zu 230" C einwirken. Es besteht daher das Bedürfnis solche antistatischen Mittel für die Faserpräparation r>
zu entwickeln, die die guten, antistatischen Eigenschaften der quaternärcn Ammoniumverbindungen
haben, gleichzeitig aber auch sehr thermostabil sind.
Aus der US-PS 25 63 506 ist die Verwendung quartärer
Ammoniumverbindungen in Form ihrer Phosphorsäurcsalzc zur Ausrüstung von bereits fertigem
Nylon- oder Celluloscacetatgarn bekannt. Im Gegensatz dazu besteht die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung
darin, thermostabile Faserpräparalionsmillcl zur Verfügung zu stellen, die während der Herslcllprozesse,
z. B. beim Texturieren, Verstrecken oder Spinnen auf die Faser aufgebracht werden. Diese
US-PS liefert aber keinen Hinweis auf die Eignung der
im folgenden beschriebenen quartärcn Ammoniumverbindungen in Form der phosphorsauren Salze bei r>n
dieser Art der Faserpräparation.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist somit die Verwendung von Verbindungen der Formel

wobei R| eine Alkyl- oder Alkenylgruppc mit 8 bis
22 C-Atomen, R2 cine Alkyl- oder Alkenylgruppc mit 8 bis 22 C-Atomen oder eine Alkylgruppc mil I bis
4 C-Atomen und R.,, R4 und R5 gleiche oder verschiedene
Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen bedeutet, als Faserpräparationsmitlel, wobei diese Verbindungen
entweder allein oder zusammen mil anderen, üblichnn Bestandteilen von Faserpräparationsmittcln
auf die Faser aufgebracht werden.
Diese Verbindungen werden gemäHUS-PS 25 63 506 erhalten durch Alkylierung und Quaternisierung von
sekundären oder tertiären Aminen der Formel

allgemeinen Formel

Die quaternärcn Ammoniumalkylphosphalc fallen bei der Herstellung als mehr oder weniger viskose Öle
oder Pasten an. Sie können leicht in Wasser, gegebenenfalls unter Zugabe von niederen Alkoholen gelöst
werden. In den Handel gebracht werden diese Verbindungen entweder als l(H)%igc Reinsubstanz oder
als wäßrige Konzentrate mit einem Gehalt an Wirksuhslanz von 40 bis I(X)%. Zur Applikation auf der
Faser werden diese Konzentrate mit Wasser auf einen Gehalt von 5 30 Gewichtsprozent verdünnt. Die
Applikation erfolgt in üblicher Weise durch Tauchen, Sprühen, über Galcllcn oder über Pumpen. Die Auflage
auf der Faser an Wirksubstanz beträgt im allgemeinen 0,1 2, vorzugsweise 0,2 0,5 Gewichtsprozent.
Die qualcrnären Ammoniumalkylphosphatc der Formel I eignen sich als Präparalionsmitlcl z. B. bei
der Faserherstellung von Synthesefasern wie Polyester, Polyacrylnitril, Polyamid, Polyolefinen, aber
auch bei Regencratcellulose. Sie können allein oder auch zusammen mit anderen Bestandteilen von Fascrpräparationsmittcln,
wie /.. B. Gleitmitteln (Mineralöle, Esteröle) oder Emulgatoren (oxäthylicrlc Fcltalkohole)
oder dergleichen auf die Faser beim Herstellen, beispielsweise bei Fixier- und Vcrstreckprozesscn,
aber auch beim Weiterverarbeiten aufgebracht werden.
Durch den Auftrag dieser Verbindungen der Formel I während der Herstellung und Weiterverarbeitung
erhält man eine sehr gute Verminderung der statischen Aufladung der Faser sowie einen guten
Avivier- und Reibungseflekl. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist die Tatsache, daß diese quaternären Ammoniumalkylphosphatc
sehr gut thermostabil sind und auch bei Temperaturen von über 200' C keine Zersetzungs-
oder Vergilbungserscheinuiigen aufweisen, obwohl diese Verbindungen in /i-Stellung zum Stickstoffatom
eliminierbare Wassersloffatome tragen. Dieser Befund ist auch insofern von Bedeutunsi, als in der
US-PS 25 63 506 lediglich erwähnt ist, da*ß sich derartige Verbindungen als Dispergiermittel für Mineralöl
und als antistatische Weichmacher für fertiges Garn eignen. Bei diesen Einsatzgebieten spielt dip Frage der
Thermostabilität keine Rolle.
Beispiel 1

192 g (0,7 Mol) C„,-\lkyIdimclhylamin und 101.5 g
(0,7 MolJTrimclhylphosphal werden in einem Kolben mit Rührer und Rückflußkiihlcr ziisammcngcgebcn.
Dann wird unter Rühren vorsichtig auf 100 IIO C erhitzt und 2 2,5 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur
gehalten. Dabei muß sorglaltig geachtet werden, daß die Temperatur von I K)- C durch die exotherme Reaktion
nicht überschritten wird. Der Qualcmisicningsgrad
beträgt 98%.
Das Produkt liegt als zähflüssiges Konzentrat vor. das mil HjO/i-Propanol I : I zu einer klaren 50%igen
Lösung verdünnt werden kann.

umgesetzt. Der Qualcmisicnmiisgrad beträgt
98%.

II. Auf ein PA6-Filament (dtex 200 Γ40) wurden aus
2(i wäßrigen Lösungen die Produkte a — f mit einer Auflage von ca. 0,7% Wirksubstanz mittels einer Galette
aufgebracht und die Filamente bei I85"C 1 Minute thermofixiert.
Bei den »o präparierten Fäden wurde die Reibung r>
nach DT-OS 23 35 675 bestimmt. Folgende Werte der Reibung, der Antistatik und der Vergilbung wurden
