KLASSE 36: Heizungsanlagen.CLASS 36: heating systems.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 29. Juli 1883 ab.Patented in the German Empire on July 29, 1883.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Figures 1, 2 and 3 are views of the blasting apparatus respectively of the radiator for heating rooms, buildings etc.
Fig. 14 is a sectioned view of the upper part of a somewhat modified construction according to the system of the arrangement shown in FIGS.
The usual radiators or radiators are formed in that vertical tubes are fixed in a common lower tube, which forms the connection path for the heating means. According to the first part of my invention, I make a second connecting duct A in the upper part of the radiator so that the heating medium can be forced to circulate either through the upper part A or the lower part B, or through both. The second part of the invention relates to the construction and manufacture of the emitting devices, respectively. Radiators, by means of which the costs of manufacture are to be reduced significantly.
With ordinary double-pipe radiators, great care is required when casting, so that the cost of the apparatus is increased. This disadvantage is almost entirely avoided by my invention, in that the two tubes C are made as one tube with frequent connecting parts or struts d (where more force is required). This means that a larger and stronger core can be used for casting; one can even use moist sand instead of the usual dry sand cores. Since only those parts of the radiating tubes C which are open to the room are of value for direct radiation, the tubes are made in such a way that they present a blunt, conical surface on the outside, that is, on the room, and have a comparatively small surface the back, where the emanation is of less value and in some cases even detrimental. As shown in the drawing, the rear wall can be slightly curved in order to achieve greater strength. When making the radiators according to my method, I prefer to make special right and left castings E and F for each end and give them a shape such that any number of sections G, consisting of one, two or more tubes, are interposed can be used to produce a radiator of the desired length. The universal or upper connecting chamber A can be made directly in the Gufs itself, as shown in Figs. 4, 5, 11 and 12, or, as in Figs. 8, 9 and 10, from pipe sections which are screwed together, exist. The tubes are threaded at the ends to receive the nuts ee ; or the pipe sections are fastened together in some other way. When using this system of vertical tubes with upper and lower communicating chambers, an extremely effective control of the circulating heating medium is achieved, because it
Um dies ohne wesentliche Beeinträchtigung der Wirkung der directen Ausstrahlung auszuführen und den Heizkörper behufs Reinigens freizulassen, bringe ich an den hervorragendsten Stellen dünne Metallschirme ff an, welche glatt oder verziert sein können.step and rise through part or all of the tubes, run through the common connecting chamber, and afterwards can be driven out either above or below, or the process can always be reversed and the supply can take place from above. A water or other suitable plug H can be placed at the bottom of the tube in which the air hole h is made so as to allow air to escape while the heating medium is retained. In some cases it is desirable that the radiator be partially covered. In order to do this without significantly impairing the effect of the direct radiation and to leave the radiator free for cleaning purposes, I attach thin metal screens ff in the most prominent places, which can be smooth or decorated.
In the form of the radiator shown in Fig. Ι to 7, the sections are screwed together by the bolts gg above and below. In Figures 8, 9 and 10, the vertical tubes consist of individual ridges attached to the upper and lower combs. These are screwed or driven into the lower chamber and held at the upper part by chamber or tube A.
In FIGS. 11 and 12, the upper chamber is shown as a special cast piece. The radiator is completed by i a plate or a strip which run through the entire length of the lower Theiles and can be closed by the Gufsstück partially to form the lower chamber. The purpose of this arrangement is to leave room for the core to be removed. In this heater the parts are held together by the above comprehensive Gufstheile and by bolts or tie rods JJ.
In Fig. 14 the arrangement is made. that the pipe or the chamber A, instead of running through the pipes C , is connected by small connections α α made of soft metal with double cones, so that these connections are driven in and a firm connection is established.
It can be seen that all radiators with the usual inlet, regulating and draining valves, as well as the necessary drip taps, and that suitable packaging is attached the places where the joining parts come into contact with the heating medium.
