Es sind bereits Radiergummihalter bekannt, bei denen man den Gummi der Länge nach zwischen zwei Platten klemmt und diese Platten in geeigneter Weise aneinander befestigt, so daß sie eine Hülse bilden. Nachdem das vorstehende Stück des Gummis abradiert ist, muß man die Verbindung der beiden Platten lösen, den Gummi mit der Hand vorschieben und dann die Befestigung wieder schließen. Da ίο das aus dem Halter vorstehende Gummistück sich verhältnismäßig schnell abradiert und das Nachstellen des Gummis recht häufig erforderlich wird, so ergibt sich, daß ein Vorschieben des Gummis auf diese Weise viel zu umständlieh und zeitraubend ist. Beim Vorschieben des Gummis von Hand kommt es ferner oft vor, daß man den Gummi zu weit vorzieht, und die Folge davon ist, daß der vorstehende Teil des Gummis entweder abbricht oder umknickt.
