Das Lippenventil wirkt hierbei wie ein nach unten sich öffnendes Rückschlagventil, jedoch mit dem Vorteil, daß, während das Gewicht des letzteren es offen zu halten sucht, das Lippenventil, das bisher nur unter dem Druck der Flüssigkeit geöffnet war, umgekehrt bei der dem Gummi eigenen Tendenz, in seine ursprüngliche Form· zurückzukehren, das Bestreben haben wird, sich möglichst bald zu schließen.
