Die Erfindung "betrifft neue N,N-Bis-(phosphonomethyl)-acrylamide
der Formel

Die Herstellung der Verbindungen der Formel I erfolgt dadurch,
daß man- Bis-(halogenmethyl)-acrylamide der Formel

gegebenenfalls in unter den Reaktionsbedingungen inerten Verdünnungsmitteln bei Temperaturen von 40 -160 C>

Als Vertreter der Phosphorigsäuretrialkylester der Formel III seien beispielsweise genannt:
Trimethylphosph.it, Triäthylphosphit, Dime thy 1-äthylphosphit,
Tri-isopropyl-phosphit, Tri-n-propylphosphit, Dimethyl-npropylphosphit,
Tri-n-butyl-phosphit, Tri-isobutylphosphit,
Tris(2-ohloräthyl)phosphit, Tris(2-bromäthyl)-phosphit,
2-Methoxy-1,3-dioxa-phospholan, 2-Äthoxy-4-methyl-1,3-dioxaphospholan.
Als Bis-halogenmethyl-acrylamide der Formel II seien beispielsweise
genannt:

•Acrylsäure-NjN-bis-^ehlormethyl^amid, Acrylsäure-N,N-bis-(brommethyl)-amid,
Methacrylsäure-N, IMdis- (chlormethyl) -amid,
Methacrylsäure-N,N-bis-(brommethyl)-amid und Äthacrylsäure-N,N-bis-(Chlormethyl)-amid.
Die Verbindungen der Formel II lassen sich durch Umsetzung
von. Acrylamid en oder deren N-Methylol-Derivaten mit Formaldehyd
und Säurehalogeniden, insbesondere mit Thionylchlorid»
herstellen (Anmeldung P Le A 15 308) .
Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Umsetzung der Verbindungen der
Formel II mit den Phosphorigsäure-trialkylestern der Formel III ist es zweckmäßig,· die bei der Umsetzung entstehenden
Verbindungen R - X, z.B. Methylchlorid, Athylchlorid oder
Äthylenchlorid, -fortlaufend aus dem Reaktionsgemisch zu entfernen, z.B. durch Destillation oder durch Einleiten eines
Inertgasstromes. ·
Im allgemeinen werden die Verbindungen der Formeln II und III
im Molverhältnis 1:2 eingesetzt', jedoch können die Phosphorigsäuretrialkylester
III auch in geringem Überschuss angewendet werden. .
Als unter den Reaktionsbedingungen inerte Verdünnungsmittel
kommen z.B. Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Toluol, Xylol, n-Nonan, ■
oder Dimethylformamid in Betracht.
Bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel I werden durch Umsetzen
von lJ,N-Bis-(chlormethyl)-acrylsäureamiä und -methacrylsäureamid
mit Trimethylphosphit, Triäthylphosphit oder Tris-(2-chloräthyl)-phosphat
hergestellt.

Zu den Verbindungen der Formel I, in der R und/oder R
für Wasserstoff oder ein Alkali-, Erdalkali- oder Ammoniumion stehen, gelangt man in bekannter Weise durch die Entalkylierung
oder durch Hydrolyse der Phosphonsäureester; siehe dazu z.B. Houben-Weyl "Methoden der organischen Chemie" 4. Auflage 1963»
Band 12/1, S. 410-412.
Die neuen Verbindungen der Formel I stellen farblose, stabile Flüssigkeiten dar; die gewöhnlich nicht ohne Zersetzung
destilliert werden können. Sie sind mannigfacher Anwendung fähig. So können beispielsweise durch Addition von Verbindungen
mit aktiven Wasserstoffatomen an die Doppelbindung der Verbindungen der Formel I neue Verbindungen mit wertvollen Eigenschaften gewonnen werden. Beispielsweise entstehen
durch Anlagerung langkettiger Amine oberflächenaktive Verbindungen, aus denen durch Alkylierung oder Verseifung Verbindungen
mit bactericider Wirkung erhalten werden können.
Die Verbindungen lassen sich ferner in üblicher Weise polymerisieren
oder mit anderen polymerisierbaren Monomeren zu Copolymeren umsetzen. Außerdem eignen sich die Verbindungen
der Formel I als Flammschutzmittel für Textilien aus natürlichen und/oder synthetischen Fasern, für Kunststoffe, Papier
und anderen Materialien.
620 Teile Trimethylphosphit werden bei 80 - 900C langsam
mit 400 Teilen H,N-Bis-(chiormethyl)-methacrylamid versetzt.
Das entstehende Methylchlorid wird in einer Kühlfalle aufgefangen. Nach beendeter Zugabe wird 1 Stunde auf 110 - 1200C
erhitzt. Die flüchtigen Bestandteile werden anschließend zuerst bei 10-20 Torr, dann bei 1 Torr abdestilliert.

166 Teile Triäthylphosphit werden bei' 125 C langsam mit 91 Teilen NjF-Bis-chlormethyl-methacrylamid versetzt. Das
entstehende Äthylchlorid wird'in einer Kühlfalle aufgefangen.

In einen auf 100 - 1100O beheizten Kolben läßt man aus getrennten
Tropftrichtern gleichzeitig. 270 Teile Tris-(2-chloräthyl)-phosphit
und 91 Teile N,N-Bis-(chlormethyl)-methacrylamid
eintropfen. Das entstehende Äthyleiiehlorid wird während
der Reaktion bei 25 Torr abdestilliert. Nach beendeter Zugabe läßt man noch i/2 Stunde bei 100 - 1200C nachrühren und
destilliert dann die flüchtigen Anteile unter einem Vakuum bis zu 1 Torr ab. Es werden 270 Teile der Verbindung

Claims (5)
1. N,N-Bis-(phosphonomethyl)-acrylamide der Formel
OH9=O-OO-H I,

in der R für Wasserstoff, den Methyl- oder Äthyl-
12 rest, und R und R unabhängig voneinander für einen
gegebenenfalls durch Halogenatöme substituierten
C -C.-Alkylrest, für Wasserstoff, ein Alkali-, Erdalkali-
oder Ammoniumion stehen, oder zusammen mit den Sauerstoffatomen und dem Phosphoratom einen 5- bis
7-gliedrigen Heterocyclus bilden.
2. Verbindungen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R für Wasserstoff oder die Methylgrup;

4. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
man die Umsetzung bei Temperaturen von 40 bis 160 C,
gegebenenfalls in einem unter den Reaktionsbedingungen inerten Verdünnungsmittel, vornimmt.
