Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von stellenweise dauerhaft miteinander verbundenen Bahnen gemäß dem Gattungsbegriff des vorstehenden Anspruchs 1. Solche Bahnen werden bei der Herstellung von aufblasbaren Gegenständen, z. B. Luftmatratzen, Sitzkissen, Schlauchbooten, Flößen oder Flüssigkeitsbehältern, verwendet. Die hierfür gebrauchten Gewebe- oder Kunststoffbahnen werden auf ihren zusammenzubringenden Seiten mit Kautschuk oder einem Klebstoff beschichtet, worauf vor dem Zusammenbringen zwischen die beiden Schichten in den nicht zu verbindenden Bereichen eine Trennschicht eingebracht und die Bahnen durch Anwendung von Druck und Hitze an den Verbindungsstellen miteinander verbunden werden.
Bei einem solchen, durch das DT-PS 821 715 bekanntgewordenen Verfuhren werden als Trennschicht Folien aus Kunsts;> IT oJf.-r Papier verwendet, die vorher genau zugeschnitten und in den zu verbindenden Bereichen ausgestanzt oder sonstwie ausgespart werden müssen. Dies ist umständlich und zeitraubend und hat außerdem den Nachteil, daß die relativ festen Folien im fertigen Erzeugnis eingeschlossen bleiben und dessen Benutzung beeinträchtigen. Der letztgenannte Mangel ließe sich vermeiden, wenn als Trennschicht Puder verwendet wird, doch bedarf es auch hier wieder zum Aufstreuen desselben besonders vorbereiteter Abdecklehren und Schablonen, die aufgelegt und sorgsam wieder entfernt werden müssen, damit die gleichmäßig aufzubringende Puderschicht nicht beschädigt wird.
Ein anderes bekanntes Verfahren besteht darin, daß
ίο auf die Unterlage, dem Verlauf der Nähte entsprechend. Stege aufgesetzt wurden, die ihrerseits die Verbindung zwischen den beiden Materialbahnen ergeben. Auch hierbei ist es notwendig, die zwischen den Stegen liegenden Flächen der Materialbahn stark zu pudern,
is um zu verhüten, daß die beiden aufeinanderliegenden Materialbahnen innerhalb der Stege aneinander anhaften. Die Nachteile aller dieser Fertigungsarten bestehen im erhöhten Mruev.al- und Arbeitsaufwand bei der Fertigung und einem relativ großen Ausschußanfall.
so Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von aufblasbaren Gegenständen aus an bestimmten Stellen dauerhaft miteinander zu verbindenden Bahnen, die auf ihren zusammenzubringenden Seiten mit Kautschuk oder Klebstoff beschichtet sind, zu schaffen, das eine wirtschaftliche, einfache und billige Fertigung bei geringstem Ausschüßanfall erlaubt.
Dies wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, daß das Einbringen der Trennschicht auch über die Verbindungsstellen hinweg durch Einführen eines sich über
die ganze Bahnfläche erstreckenden dünnen Faservlieses und das Verbinden an den Verbindungsstellen durch Hindurchdrücken des Kautschuks bzw. des Kleb stoffes durch das Faservlies erfolgt.
Dieses Hindurchdrücken nur im Bereich der Verbindungsstelleii is' für die Erfindung von besonderer Bedeutung. Damit hebt sie sich auch von der US-PS 1 35b 234 ab, wo es sich darum handelt, eine mit einem Dauerkleber beschichtete Matcrialbahn vor einem unerwünschten Anhaften an anderen Gegenständen durch eine darübergebrachte undurchlässige Schutzfolie zu bewahren.
Als Faservlies gelangt ein flexibles poröses I lächengcbilde zur Anwendung aus Textilfasern. die gegebenenfalls nach Vorverfestigung auf mechanischem Wege
(z. B. durch Nadeln) durch Verkleben mit Hilfe eines Bindemittels, durch Anlösen, durch Verschweißen oder durch eine Kombination dieser Verfahren untereinander, verbunden sind. Derartige Faservliese sind bekannt und bestehen aus wirr durcheinandcrliegenden, dünnen Einzelfasern, und /war natürlichen Fasern (Wolle, Baumwolle usw.), halbsynthetischen Fasern (Zellwoll-Acetatfasern) oder vollsynthetischen Fasern (Polyamid-. Polyester-, Polyacrylnitril-, Polyäthylen-, PVC- und Polypropylen-Fasern).
Vorzugsweise gelangt ein Zcllwollc-Viskose-Vlies 50/50 zur Anwendung, mit einem Einheitsgewicht von etwa 25 bis 30 g/m2. Es wird zweckmäßig auf eine der beiden miteinander zu verbindenden kautschukiertcn Bahnen aufgebracht und diese zusammen mit dem Vlies unmittelbar auf die Kautschukschicht der anderen Bahn aufgebracht, worauf das Heißpressen der Nähte erfolgt. Das zwischengelegte Faservlies hat dabei zwei Funktionen. Einmal bildet es ein wirksames Trennmittel zwischen den lose aufeinanderliegenden kautschukiertcn Flächen, welches deren unerwünschtes Aneinanderhaften verhindert. Zum anderen wird es im Bereich der Heißpressung, also im Bereich der Nähte und Ränder völlig vom Klebstoff bzw. Kautschuk durchdrungen.
wobei es zugleich eine beachtliche Verstärkung der Nähte und Ränder erbringt, deren Reißfestigkeit erhöht wird. Die Dichtigkeit der Nähte und Ränder wird bei der geringen Dicke, der Durchlässigkeit und der wirren Faserstruktur des Faservlieses nicht beeinflußt.
Die Heißverpressung erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise mit einem Druck von etwa 1ü kp/cm-' bei 180 C.
Vorzugsweise erfolgt das Hindurchdrücken des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes durch das Faservlies bis zum beginnenden Austritt des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes aus der Verbindungsstelle, so daß sich ein den Spalt überbrückender Wulst bildet, der die Verbindung verstärkt und deren Dichtigkeit erhöht. Es ist bekannt, daß dieses Verfahren auch mit dem gleichen Erfolg Anwendung findet bei den bekannten Herstellungsmethoden, bei denen an Stelle eines Vlieses eine Puderschicht verwendet wird oder Stege aufgesetzt werden.
Zweckmäßig wird zur Durchführung des Verfahrens ein Preßwerkzeug benutzt, das in an sich bekannter Weise aus einer heizbaren, metallischen, an den zu verbindenden Stellen Stege aufweisenden Preßplatte und einer Preßunterlage besteht, wobei erfindungsgemäß die Preßunterlage durch eine steife, in sich elastisch nachgiebige Holzplatte, insbesondere einer Sperrholzplatte, gebildet ist.
Die Erfindung wird an Hand der Zeichnungen näher erläutert, und zwar zeigt

F i g. 3 eine schematische Darstellung eines Preßwerkzeuges und
F i g. 4 einen Schnitt durch zwei miteinander verbundenen Bahnen.
Tcxtilbahnen 1 werden je einseitig mit einer Kautschukschicht 2 versehen. Diese Bahnen werden, wie es F i g. 2 erkennen läßt, mit ihrer Katitschukschicht 2 einander zugekehrt, auf einem Arbeitstisch 3 aufeinandergelegt. Dabei wird zwischen die beiden Bahnen ein dünnes Faservlies 4 aus wirr durcheinanderliegenden natürlichen- oder Kunststoff-Fasern eingebracht. Dieses Faservlies 4 erstreckt sich über die volle Fläche der Bahnen und bildet zunächst eine Trennschicht, die das Anhaften der noch vulkanisierbaren Bahnen aneinander verhindert.
In einer Heißpresse erfolgt schließlich die Verbindung der Bahnen durch das Faservlies 4 hindurch, und /war nur in bestimmten Bereichen, wie sie sich beispielsweise aus der Darstellung gemäß F i g. 1 ergeben. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß eine heizbare Preßpkute Verwendung findet, die der Darstellung gemö'J F i g. 1 entspricht und vorstehende Randflächen 5 sowie Nahtflächen 6 bzw. 7 und 8 aufweist. Die Randflächen 5 und Nahtflächen 6 bis 8 sind so angeordnet, duü sich zwischen ihnen innerhalb der Randflächen 5 Rächenteile 9 befinden, innerhalb deren keine Verbindung
ίο der aufeinanderliegenden Bahnen erfolgt. Beim Aufblasen der Luftmatratzenteile ergeben sich die üblichen Luftkammern zwischen den Nahiflächen 6, 7 und 8 innerhalb der Randflächen 5.
Bei der Heißverpressung, die mit einem Druck von etwa 10 kp/cm- bei einer Temperatur von etw_ 180 C
erfolgt, dringen die Kautschukschichten 2 durch

Faservlies 4 im Bereich der Randflächen 5 und Nahtflachen 6, 7 und 8 hindurch, so daß eine dichte und innige Verbindung der Bahnen hergestellt ist.
Andererseits wird die Heißverpressung zwischen einer metallenen Preßplatte 10 und einer aus Sperrholz bestehenden Preßunterlage 11 so weit fortgeset/i. daß gemäß den F i g. 3 und 4 die Kautschukschieh' seitlich in gewissem Umfang austritt und längs der Preßflächen
einen Wulst 12 bildet, der den Spalt zwischen den Bahnen entlang der Nahtflächen 6 bzw. Randflächen 5 überbrückt. Die an den Textilbahnen 1 haftende Kautschukschicht 2 geht fließend in den Wulst 12 über. Dieser Wulst 12 bildet eine Sicherung gegen Aufreißen der Nähte und ersetzt die üblicherweise für diesen Zweck benutzten Faitstreifen.
In F i g. 4 ist ein Schnitt durch eine Naht wiedergegeben und zwar ist deutlich erkennbar die Wulst 12 und das Faservlies 4, das an der Kautschukschicht 2 einer Bahn leicht anhaftet.
Es genügt, wenn bei der Verarbeitung nur eine Bahn mit dem Faservlies 4 abgedeckt ist. Selbstverständlich können aber auch aus Vereinfachungsgründen beide Bahnen ein Faservlies 4 aufweisen. Aus F i g. 4 ist deutlieh erkennbar, daß im Bereich der Preßwerkzeuge die Kautschukschicht 2 durch das Faservlies 4 hindurchgedrückt und im gewissen Grad verdichtet ist bzw. ist ein Teil der Kautschukschicht 2 seitlich zur Bildung des Wulstes 12 herausgedrückt.
Nach der erfolgten Heißverpressung wird der hergestellte Gegenstand vulkanisiert, und zwar beträgt die Vulkanisationszeit bei Luftmatratzen etwa 20 Minuten, die Temperatur 1400C und der Druck etwa 3 kp/cm-1.

Claims (5)

Patentansprüche:
1. Verfahren zum Herstellen von stellenweise dauerhaft miteinander verbundenen Bahnen, bei dem die zu verbindenden Bahnen auf ihren zusammenzubringenden Seiten mit Kautschuk oder einem Klebstoff beschichtet werden, vor dem Zusammenbringen zwischen die beiden Schichten in den nicht zu verbindenden Bereichen eine Trennschicht eingebracht wird und die Bahnen durch Anwendung von Druck und Hitze an den Verbindungsstellen miteinander verbunden werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Einbringen der Trennschicht auch über die Verbindungsstellen hinweg durch Einführen eines sich über die ganze Bahnflüche erstreckenden dünnen Faservlieses und das Verbinden an den Verbindungsstellen durch Hindurchärücken des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes durch das Faservlies erfolgt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Hindurchdrücken des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes durch das Faservlies mit einem Druck von etwa 10 kp/cm- bei 180"C erfolgt.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Hindurchdrücken des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes durch das Faservlies bis zum beginnenden Austritt des Kautschuks bzw. des Klebstoffes aus der Verbindungsstelle erfolgt.
4. Faservlies zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es aus einem Zellwolle-Viskose-Vlics 50/50 mit einem Einheitsgewicht von etwa 25 bis 30 g/m: besteht.
5. Preßwerkzeug zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 3, das aus einer heizbaren metallischen, an den zu verbindenden Stellen Stege aufweisenden Preßpiatie und einer Prcßunteriage besteht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Preßunlerlage (11) aus einer steifen, in sich elastisch nachgiebigen Holzplatte, insbesondere einer Sperrholzplatte, bestehi.
