Das Patent 200927 schützt ein Verfahren zum Ätzen von Thioindigorotfärbungen, das
dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man die mit Hydrosulfit bedruckten Gewebe unmittelbar
anschließend an das Dämpfen durch ein kochendes Bad von Wasser bzw. äußerst verdünnter
Natronlauge nimmt. Bei dieser Passage werden die beim Dämpfen entstandenen
Leukoverbindungen der Farbstoffe von dem Gewebe entfernt, noch bevor sie Gelegenheit
haben, sich durch die Berührung mit der Luft wieder zu oxydieren.
. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß in diesem Verfahren das kochende Wasserbad ersetzt werden kann durch ein Bad, welches verdünnten,
schwach angesäuerten Alkohol enthält. Dieser Ersatz bietet den Vorteil, daß man die Passage nicht bei Kochtemperatur,
sondern auch bei wesentlich niederer Temperatur (40 bis 550 C.) vornehmen kann, ohne
daß dadurch die Resultate irgendwie beeinträchtigt werden. Man erhält vielmehr blendend
