Zusatz zum Patente 197165 vom 8. November 1905.Addendum to patent 197165 of November 8, 1905.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 6. Dezember 1905 ab. Längste Dauer: 7. November 1920.Patented in the German Empire on December 6, 1905. Longest duration: November 7, 1920.
It has been found that the black described in Patent 197165 Dye from p-nitroso-o-cresol also by cooking this compound at the same time an aqueous solution of sodium sulfur and sulfur can be obtained, whereby not only simplifies the production, but also achieves the advantage of safe working will. Furthermore, in this way, the most diverse black nuances can be obtained by changing the sulfur and alkali quantities.
Die Lösung kann nun entweder direkt zum Färben benutzt oder zur Trockne verdampft werden, oder man kann den Farbstoff durch Säuren ausfällen.14 parts ρ - nitroso - ό - cresol are with 18 parts of crystallized sodium sulfur, 5 parts of sulfur and about 50 parts of cold Water mixed and then slowly heated to a boil. First a brown one emerges Product due to the partial reduction of the nitroso-o-cresol, then the color follows for a while in purple and finally in green-blue. The reaction takes approximately 24 hours. During the boiling, the evaporating water is through suitable devices returned to the cooking apparatus, or a small jet of water is allowed, the amount of which corresponds to the evaporating water approximately to flow into the cooking apparatus. The solution can now either be used directly for dyeing or evaporated to dryness or the dye can be precipitated using acids.
The above example results in a black with a blue-violet shade. A black from bluish-green shade, which is particularly suitable for mercerized cotton one z. B. by boiling 14 parts of nitroso-cresol, 30 parts of crystallized sodium sulfur and 12 parts of sulfur with the addition of water.
A part of the sulphurous sodium can be replaced by caustic alkalis or alkali carbonates as p-nitroso-o-cresol sodium appears to be formed first. The sodium compound you can z. B. by applying a solution of about 4 parts of sodium hydroxide to 14 parts of nitrosocresol, saving 12 parts of crystallized sodium sulphide. Then you bet Sulfur sodium and sulfur (or the previously formed polysulfides) only when the nitroso-o-cresol is dissolved in the sodium hydroxide solution.
