Bei der Herstellung künstlicher Seide aus einer Auflösung von Zellulose in einer ammoniakalischen Kupferoxydlösung ist es Gebrauch, die gebildeten Fäden bei ihrem Austritt aus den Spinndüsen einem gewissen Ausstrecken zu unterwerfen, was dadurch möglich gemacht ist, daß das Gerinnen des Fadens gerade erst im Augenblicke des Aufrollens auf eine in einem, eine Fällflüssigkeit (z. B. ein Säurebad) enthaltenden Behälter drehende Spule geschieht.
