Claims (8)
1. Kernnetz für ein mobiles Kommunikationssystem, wobei
das Kernnetz eine Vielzahl von mobilen Einheiten mit
drahtlosen Diensten versorgt und mindestens ein
lokales Netzwert mit einer der mobilen Einheiten (12)
kommuniziert, wobei das Kernnetz umfaßt:
eine Datenbank, auf die vom Kernnetz zugegriffen werden kann, die Daten bezüglich des lokalen Netzwerk anbieters und des geographischen Versorgungsbereichs des lokalen Netzwerkanbieters enthält;
ein Ortungsgerät; und
ein Positionsvergleichsgerät, das die Standortsinfor mation vom Ortungsgerät empfängt, um einen Standort mindestens einer mobilen Einheit zu erkennen und den geographischen Versorgungsbereich mit einem Standort dieser mobilen Einheit zu korrelieren und einem Be nutzer dieser mobilen Einheit Informationen über diese Korrelation bereitzustellen, wobei diese mobile Ein heit in der Lage ist, mit dem Kernnetz und diesem lokalen Netzwerk zu kommunizieren.
eine Datenbank, auf die vom Kernnetz zugegriffen werden kann, die Daten bezüglich des lokalen Netzwerk anbieters und des geographischen Versorgungsbereichs des lokalen Netzwerkanbieters enthält;
ein Ortungsgerät; und
ein Positionsvergleichsgerät, das die Standortsinfor mation vom Ortungsgerät empfängt, um einen Standort mindestens einer mobilen Einheit zu erkennen und den geographischen Versorgungsbereich mit einem Standort dieser mobilen Einheit zu korrelieren und einem Be nutzer dieser mobilen Einheit Informationen über diese Korrelation bereitzustellen, wobei diese mobile Ein heit in der Lage ist, mit dem Kernnetz und diesem lokalen Netzwerk zu kommunizieren.
2. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Standortserken
nungsfunktion die Annahme von Signalen von einem GPS-
Positionsgeber einschließt, der zu dieser mobilen Ein
heit gehört.
3. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Standortserken
nungsfunktion die Verwendung einer netzbasierten
Ortung einschließt, unter Verwendung von Signal
berechnungen, die aus der Kommunikation mit dieser
mobilen Einheit abgeleitet werden.
4. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Standortserken
nungsfunktion mindestens AOA (Einfallswinkel), TDOA
(Einfallszeitdifferenz) oder GPS einschließt.
5. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Standortserken
nungsfunktion durch ein Hybridsystem bereitgestellt
wird, das einen GPS-Positionsgeber verwendet, der zu
dieser mobilen Einheit gehört, und eine netzbasierte
Ortung.
6. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Kernnetz ein digi
tales zellulares Kommunikationsnetz ist, das in der
Lage ist, mit den mobilen Einheiten zu kommunizieren,
und das lokale Netzwerk ein WLAN ist, das in der Lage
ist, mit den mobilen Einheiten zu kommunizieren.
7. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, außerdem umfassend eine
Netzfunktion, wobei das WLAN mit dem Kernnetz inter
agiert, um das Kernnetz mit Daten bezüglich der WLAN-
Versorgung im Kernnetz und die Dienste zu versorgen,
die den mobilen Einheiten vom WLAN angeboten werden.
8. Kernnetz nach Anspruch 1, wobei das WLAN mit dem Kern
netz interagiert, um den Standort der mobilen Einheit
bereitzustellen, wenn sie vom WLAN versorgt wird.
