Description
The invention relates to a rolling rod as Wälzkörperaggregat for a continuous press with endless rotating press belts (especially steel belts), which are supported with the interposition of the rolling rods against (heated) press plates of the continuous press, wherein the rolling rod cylindrical z. B. steel (with predetermined length and predetermined diameter) is formed with a cylinder jacket and end faces. Preferably, bearing bores are arranged in the end faces, into which roller bearing pin bolts can be inserted or used.
These rolling rods are thus used as Wälzkörperaggregate in a continuously operating press. Such a continuously operating press is preferably used in the context of the invention for the production of wood-based panels. Wood-based panels means in particular fiberboard, chipboard or OSB boards. Alternatively, the invention also relates to the production of composite panels or composite components. Composite panels or composite components means in particular those made of a fiber composite material, for. B. SMC (sheet molding compounds) or organo sheets.
A continuous press has in the upper press upper part an upper heatable press plate (upper heating plate) and in the lower press part a lower heatable press plate (lower heating plate) and possibly on the inlet side projecting inlet plates. In the upper press part and in the lower press part endless circulating press belts, z. B. steel press belts out, which are supported with the interposition of the rolling rods against the press plates / heating plates. The rolling rods are connected by means of end-connected Rollstablagerbolzen to rolling rod chains or circulation chains, the z. B. are formed as tab chains. The diameter of the rolling rods is usually 15 mm to 25 mm. The roll bar length is, for example, in the range between 2 m and 2.5 m.
Such continuous presses with rolling rods have long been known in practice. The material to be compacted is pressed in the press nip between the rotating steel strips using pressure and heat. The rotating steel belts are supported on the heated press plates with the interposition of the rolling rods, so that the rolling rods roll on the press plates as Wälzkörperaggregate. Due to usual manufacturing tolerances or minimal deviations of the rolling rod shape from the perfect cylindrical shape, it can lead to path or length differences in the course of the rolling movement at the two outer ends of the rolling rods, which are compensated by a "micro-slip". Against this background, it is common and necessary in practice to lubricate or lubricate the rolling rods or their cylindrical surfaces with a liquid lubricant. Such a lubricant is in practice z. B. sprayed by means of nozzles in the inlet area or roll bar circulation on the rolling rods. These measures have proven themselves in practice, but the use of such lubricant is associated with corresponding equipment costs. In addition, the range of application of the lubricant is limited in terms of temperature. - This is where the invention starts.
The invention has for its object to provide a rolling rod, which allows a particularly economical operation of a continuously operating press and is particularly suitable for higher application temperatures.
To solve this problem, the invention teaches in a generic roll bar of the type described above that at least the cylinder jacket is at least partially provided with a self-lubricating (and thus friction-reducing) coating. Particularly preferably, the cylinder jacket over the entire length and the entire circumference of the rolling rod is provided with such a self-lubricating coating. In addition, one or both end faces can be provided with such a self-lubricating coating at least in regions, if appropriate also completely. Such a self-lubricating coating may in particular be a coating based on carbon, the z. B. is formed as a coating of tungsten carbide. Alternatively, a coating of molybdenum sulfide is used.
The invention is based on the finding that the use of liquid or flowable lubricant in the area of the rolling rods of a continuously operating press can be completely dispensed with if the rolling rods are provided with a self-lubricating (dry-lubricating) coating and thus are characterized by inherent lubrication , Such coatings, for. As tungsten carbide coatings (WCH) or Molybdänsulfidbeschichtungen are basically known. They are characterized by very low coefficients of friction and low adhesion tendencies with good wear resistance. Layer systems based on tungsten carbide with lamellar dry lubricating graphitic inclusions have, for. B. established in components of the automotive industry and in the field of gears.
By using the self-lubricating coating according to the invention, the use of customary flowable lubricants can initially be dispensed with (or at least reduced) so that a particularly economical operation of the continuous press is made possible.
A further advantage of the solution according to the invention is the fact that a self-lubricating coating (eg as WCH coating or molybdenum sulfide coating) is very temperature-resistant, so that the press is also suitable for higher temperatures and possibly high-temperature applications. The rolling rods according to the invention can therefore be used not only in presses for the production of wood-based panels, which are usually operated at Heizplattentemperaturen by about 200 ° C, but alternatively the rolling rods according to the invention in continuous presses for the production of composite components are used at higher temperatures be pressed. It may be z. B. fiber composites and particularly preferably SMC materials (Sheet Molding Compounds) act.
But even in the course of the production of wood-based panels (eg., Particleboard, fiberboard or OSB boards), considerable advantages can be achieved with the rolling rods according to the invention. By a significantly reduced or even no lubricant or oil consumption a significant cost reduction is achieved. Incidentally, it is also possible with wood-based panels to increase the operating temperature of the press plates / heating plates, so that the pressed material is pressed at higher temperatures and thus can reduce the heating time factor. This leads in turn to the same press length to higher output and thus higher efficiency. So can be z. B. wood-based panels with Heizplattentemperaturen of more than 230 ° C, z. B. more than 250 ° C.
With a continuous press of the type described, a method for pressing pressed material mats or the like pressed product can be carried out, according to the invention rolling rods are used, which are provided with a self-lubricating coating, so that in the inventive method particularly preferably on liquid lubricant in the field of rolling rods is waived. This method is suitable for. B. for the production of wood-based panels at particularly high temperatures, eg. B. Heizplattentemperaturen of more than 230 ° C, z. B. more than 250 ° C. According to the invention, however, the method is also suitable for the production of components made of composite materials, for. B. fiber composites, and at Heizplattentemperaturen of more than 300 ° C.
The self-lubricating coating according to the invention is preferably applied in the context of the invention by deposition from the vapor phase or from the plasma phase. Consequently, for coating z. For example, a plasma-based physical vapor deposition process (plasma PVD) is used (physical vapor deposition). It is a vacuum coating process in which the starting materials are converted or ionized by introducing thermal or kinetic energy from the solid phase into the gas phase. The coating is intercrystalline in the surface of the rolling rods (which are preferably made of steel) introduced.
Preferably, the rolling rods are provided for guiding on the rotating chains frontally with Rollstablagerbolzen, which engage in corresponding recesses of the chains. Preferably, the rolling rods in the end faces on bearing bores into which the Rollstablagerbolzen be used or used. However, the invention also includes other constructions which allow a rotatable guide in the chains.
