Claims (5)

1. Schutzkissen für den Kopf eines Fahrzeuginsassen, wobei das Schutzkissen (1) in der Nähe der Schnittkante eines Deckenabschnitts (32) und einer Seitenfläche einer Fahrzeug­ kabine angeordnet ist und durch von einem Gaszuführeinlaß (6) zugeführtes Gas nach unten entlang der Seitenfläche aufblas­ bar ist, wobei das Schutzkissen (1) umfaßt:
einen entlang des Deckenabschnitts (32) des Fahrzeugs ange­ ordneten Oberseitenabschnitt (1U),
eine innerhalb des Kissens (1) angeordnete und mit dem Gaszu­ führeinlaß (6) verbundene Hauptgasleitung (7), und
mehrere innerhalb des Kissens (1) angeordnete kleine Kammern (8a bis 8h), welche unterhalb der Hauptgasleitung (7) ange­ ordnet sind und welchen jeweils Gas von der Hauptgasleitung (7) zuführbar ist,
wobei die kleinen Kammern (8a bis 8h) derart diagonal verlau­ fen, daß sie den Oberseitenabschnitt (1U) in Längsrichtung entlang der Ausströmrichtung des Gases aus der Hauptgaslei­ tung (7) unter einem Winkel im Bereich zwischen 5° und 20° schneiden.1.
