From the two unpublished documents DE 196 47 200 C1 and DE 196 47 203 A1 are each the preamble of the main claim Corresponding roof modules for motor vehicles have become known. Any of these Roof modules represent a functional unit, in the housing several Sensors for receiving or sending optical and / or electromagnetic radiation are arranged. The housing of each Roof module is attached to the roof and an area of the pane of the Assigned to the motor vehicle at a non-disturbing point. Except for Such sensors can be used to accommodate sensors various operating units, camera systems, lighting devices and be provided for the attachment of an inside mirror. Because of the extraordinary functional density and a simple functional Ensuring installation in the motor vehicle is the housing of this Roof modules in two hingedly connected Housing sections divided. Despite this subdivision is one Functional coupling of the second housing section assigned sensor device to the disc not always without Difficulties possible. Because of the necessary gluing of the Sensor device on the inside of the pane is also the Disassembly of a defective sensor device is correspondingly complex.
In addition, DE 43 29 983 A1 is a roof module for motor vehicles known. This roof module, which represents a functional unit, has on the roof of the motor vehicle lockable housing, which for Inclusion of various functional elements such as B. mirrors, sensors, Controls, lighting devices, etc. is provided.
Based on such an embodiment, the object of the invention to create a roof module that is simple Functional definition of the entire roof module on the roof of the Motor vehicle enables and simultaneously through its two Housing sections both a particularly simple permanent coupling the sensor device to the pane, as well as - if necessary just as easy to remove the sensor device from the pane enables.
According to the invention this object is achieved by the in the characterizing part of Main claim specified features solved.
B. Sensorvorrichtung, Kamerasysteme, usw. - zuverlässig vor Beschädigungen schützt. It is advantageous in such a configuration that the housing during easy to transport in its folded form represents compact, compact body and thereby the special sensitive functional units - such as B. sensor device, Camera systems, etc. - reliably protects against damage.
Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben, anhand eines Ausführungsbeispieles wird der erfindungsgemäße Gegenstand näher erläutert und zwar zeigen:Further advantageous refinements are specified in the subclaims. the subject matter of the invention is based on an exemplary embodiment explained in more detail and show:

Fig. 5 vergrößert Detail B, wobei sich der zweite Gehäuseabschnitt in seiner Funktionsposition befindet Fig. 5 enlarged detail B, wherein the second housing section is in its operating position
Fig. 6 den zweiten Gehäuseabschnitt vergrößert im Schnitt, entsprechend Linie C-C, gemäß Fig. 3 Fig. 6 shows the second housing portion is increased in the section corresponding to line CC in Fig. 3
Fig. 7 vergrößert Detail D, gemäß Fig. 6. Fig. 7 enlarged detail D of FIG. 6.
As can be seen from the drawing, a housing for such roof modules essentially consists of a first housing section 2 which can be fixed on the roof 1 of the motor vehicle and a second housing section 4 which can be brought into abutment on the inside of the pane 3 . The first housing section 2 and the second housing section 4 are pivotally connected to one another via a joint 5 .
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, the second housing section 4 is folded back in the direction of the top side 6 of the first housing section 2 during transport or in the delivery state. The top 7 of the second housing section 4 rests on an auxiliary body 9 to protect the sensitive sensor device 8 . The auxiliary body 9 is provided only for the transport of the roof module and is simply removed from it before assembly. Characterized in that the second housing section 4 is folded back in the direction of the first housing section 2 , the housing in its entirety not only protects the particularly sensitive sensor device 8 particularly well from damage, but also, in its entirety, provides a particularly inexpensive unit for transportation compact body. The handling required for transporting the roof module is particularly simple and the packaging effort required to protect against damage is minimized.
To prepare for assembly, the roof module is only brought into the assembly position shown in FIG. 2, ie the second housing section 4 is pivoted about the joint 5 by approximately 200 ° in the direction of the arrow and the auxiliary body 9 is removed from the first housing section 2 . As further particular from FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 can be seen, there is a joint 5 consists essentially of a molded onto the first housing section 2 and a joint head 9 formed integrally on the second housing portion 4 pivot lever 10. The pivot lever 10 is pivotally mounted on the joint head 9 via a pin 11 . In addition, a spring means 12 is arranged in the joint 5 . The spring means 12 is designed as an omega-shaped leaf spring and is supported to generate a spring force directed onto the inside 13 of the disc 3 with its one spring leg 14 on the joint head 9 and with its other spring leg 15 on the pivot lever 10 . By moving the second housing section 4 into its pre-assembly position, the spring means 12 is pretensioned to a maximum and the pivoting lever 10 simultaneously locks positively behind a locking lug 16 molded onto the joint head 9 . The second housing section 4 is thus securely held in its preassembly position when the spring means 12 is at maximum tension.
As can further be seen from FIG. 2, a rigid fastening element in the form of a projecting bead 18 is molded onto the housing wall 17 of the first housing section 2 , which is remote from the joint 5 . The bead 18 has a U-shaped cross section and is provided for receiving the edge region of the roof lining 19 . To fix the roof module on the roof 1 of the motor vehicle, the bead 18 with its U-shaped cross section is first pushed onto the edge region of the roof trim 19 fastened to the roof 1, which is provided for fixing. As a result, the bead 18 picks up the edge region of the roof cladding 19 within its clearance and engages around it in a U-shape. Now the area of the first housing section 2 which is close to the joint 5 is pushed up in the direction of the roof 1 , as a result of which the two further rigid fastening elements fastened to the joint head 9 , each in the form of a conical manikin 20 , engage in a snap connection element 21 fixed on the roof 1 . The snap connection elements 21 hold the further rigid fastening elements designed as conical dolls 20 permanently, that is to say they cannot be detached again by the action of normal force. The fastening elements designed as conical dolls 20 and the snap connection elements 21 are matched to one another in such a way that the roof module can only be released when the snap connection elements 21 are destroyed. The fastening elements, which are designed as conical dolls 20 , are held securely in position by means of a twist protection (not shown) molded onto the snap connection element 21 . The roof module is thus fixed, ie held in a form-fitting manner, on the roof 1 of the motor vehicle. Because the fastening elements designed as conical dolls 20 are each screwed to the joint head 9 by means of a screw (not shown), it may be necessary to disassemble the roof module in a simple manner after loosening the two screws. The fastening elements designed as conical dolls 20 remain in the engagement of the snap connection elements 21 .
In order to bring the second housing section 4 permanently into its final functional position, a protective film (not shown) is first removed from the coupling film 22 of the sensor device 8 . Then the pivot lever 10 is displaced parallel to the pivot axis, that is to say transversely to the pivot direction, in the joint head 9 and thus released from its latching with the latching nose 16 . 5 As is apparent especially from FIG. 3 and FIG., The second housing portion 4 is pivoted by the spring force of the biased spring means 12 in the direction of the disc 3. The sensor device 8 is pressed against the inside 13 of the pane 3 with the interposition of the coupling film 22 . Because the spring means 12 is only partially relaxed and continues to exert considerable spring forces in the direction of the disk 3 , the sensor device 8 is permanently coupled to the disk 3 . The pivot lever 10 is guided in the functional position of the second housing section 4 in the joint head 9 in such a way that a displacement transversely to the pivot direction is not possible.
As is apparent in particular from FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the spring force of the spring means 12 is transmitted via an integrally formed on the inner surface 23 of ball head 24 has a bearing socket 25 of the sensor device 8. The bearing pan 25 is molded into the housing part 26 of the sensor device 8 . Because the radius of the spherical head 24 is significantly smaller than the radius of the bearing cup 25 , a point-like contact results. The punctiform transmission of the spring force of the spring means 12 results in a plane-parallel coupling of the sensor device 8 to the disk 3 even under difficult conditions. In order to avoid transmissions disturbing influences of the first housing portion 2 to the sensor device 8 takes place simultaneously with the coupling to the plate 3 a very extensive mechanical decoupling of the sensor apparatus 8 of the second housing portion 4 instead. For this purpose, mushroom-shaped fastening elements 29 , which act as protection against loss and rotation for the sensor device 8 , are integrally formed on the second housing section 4 . For this purpose, the mushroom-like fastening elements 29 engage with great play in corresponding openings in the housing part 26 of the sensor device 8 .
The roof module can be supplied with a pre-assembled mirror 28 or without a mirror 28 and can be installed in the motor vehicle. If the mirror 28 is not delivered preassembled with the roof module as a unit, then a simple fastening of the mirror 28 to the roof module is possible via corresponding holding elements that are present in any case.
The disassembly of the roof module is possible in a reverse manner in a simple manner, wherein the sensor device 8 can also be easily detached from the pane 3 without additional effort.
