Description

Die Erfindung betrifft Einrichtungen und Verfahren entsprechend dem Ober­ begriff des Anspruch 1.
Damit Diesel- oder Otto-Motoren einen höheren Wirkungsgrad erzielen, sollte die die Umwelt belastende Abfallwärme (über 50%, der aufgewendeten Energie) wenigstens teilweise zurückgewonnen werden.
Es ist bekannt, wie auch in DE 30 30 289 ausgeführt, daß Verbrennungsmotoren systembedingt, nach jedem Kaltstart, besonders bei nachfolgendem "stop and go"-Verkehr, unverhältnismäßig hohe Kraftstoffverbräuche mit extremen Schadstoffemissionen haben.
Zusätzlich werden durch normale Auslaßkrümmer am Motor mehr als 50% der eingesetzten Energie ungenutzt als Wärmeumweltbelastung abgeführt! Hochleistungs-Fächerrohrkrümmer - in Zeolithe eingebettet - mit einem Schutzgehäuse (Fig. 1) umgeben, verringern die Wärmeabstrahlung deutlich, weil Zeolithe ein guter Wärmeisolater plus Latentwärmespeicher ist.
Der nachfolgende Katalysator erreicht dadurch auch seine Starttemperatur für die katalytische Abgasreinigung schneller.
Da Hochleistungs-Fächerkrümmer im Vergleich zu Gußkrümmern oder Gußkollektoren bereits eine Wirkungsgradverbesserung bringen, kann diese Eigenschaft noch nachhaltlich optimiert werden, mit der bekannten Latentwärmespeichermöglichkeit von Brennkraftmaschinen Die ungenügend langen Desorptionszyklen bei bekannten Zeolith-Latentwärme­ speichern werden durch die Kombination mit einen Hochleistungs- Fächerkrümmer weiter verbessert.

Claims (5)

1. Vorrichtung zur Rückgewinnung von Abfallwärme, an Diesel-Otto- und ins­ besondere an Hybride-Motoren Fig. 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Hochleistungs-Fächerrohrkrümmer in einem Latentwärmespeichermedium, z. B. Zeolithe, eingebettet und mit einem Gehäuse umgeben sind.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das oder auch die weiterführenden Abgas­ rohre Luftspaltrohre sind, und eines oder mehrere Rohre mit einem Latent­ wärmespeichermedium z. B. Zeolithe gefüllt sind.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im oder am Hochleistungs-Fächerrohr­ krümmer integrierte Katalysatoren mit einem Latentwärmespeichermedium z. B. Zeolithe gefüllt sind.
4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im oder am Hochleistungs-Fächerrohrkrüm­ mer integrierte Schalldämpfer mit einem Latentwärmespeichermedium z. B. Zeolithe gefüllt sind.
5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im oder am Hochleistungs-Fächerrohrkrüm­ mer die Vorrichtungen 2-4 in Kombination oder komplett integriert sind.
