Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a warhead according to the preamble of Claim 1.
A distinction is made between the flight destinations that have to be fought today between hard and soft target quality.
Tactical, ballistic missiles, so-called TBM targets, are among the first mentioned harder target genus, because of their aerodynamic shell and their warhead with thick-walled monosplit shell or with strong encased, explosive-filled submunitions. For an effective loading Fighting them requires massive slivers, which are aerodynamic Able to penetrate shell and fragment shell or submunition shell and following these penetrations are still able to adjacent explosive charge for a quick, violent reaction or even for To detonate. Their number is given the warhead size Common anti-flight missile mostly low. But that's what it is for Target placement of the latter generally low, i. H. in the range of maximum a few meters.
Aircraft and cruise missiles, on the other hand, are the softer target species attributed to. Their high maneuverability and versatility in terms of Countermeasures entail that the target filing attacking flight body can be relatively large. As a result, with just a few, big ones or correspondingly heavy splinters no longer the desired hit Probability or frequency of hits given. Because of the necessary meeting Rather densely from greater distances, numerous fragments are required Lich. Even small fragments are enough to damage the attacked Target object to cause sufficient destruction of components.
Known measures for obtaining a particularly large number of fragments are u. a. the patents US 32 702, DE 28 07 309 C1 and US 37 41 123 ent to take. They consist of a multilayer arrangement of splinter beles same or different qualities. Varying the However, the number and size of splinters during the approach approach is not intended. The latter also applies to the fragmentation warheads in the same way according to the patents DE 41 39 372 C1 and US 42 16 720, of which the one according to the first-mentioned publication with pyrotechnic means for Influencing the direction of fragmentation is equipped and the one according to the last-mentioned document in the form and mass of uniform rods as fragments having.
To use the same splinter warhead at any time against both harder ones as well as against softer flight destinations of the type described above to be able to walk, however, the possibility of a targeted influence is required on the size and number of the outgoing splinters even after the Ab shot of the carrier missile concerned. In the case of the German patent DE 30 16 861 C2 are for this purpose in the explosive charge on the side of the Splinter shell grooves defined distribution pattern provided. They stay same empty, they act as cutting charges, which lead to a noticeable ver increase the number of outgoing fragments. On the other hand, the front seen possibility of filling grooves with liquid, there is no additional disassembly of the preformed or natural splinters.
What in the last described known embodiment as per It turns out to be blematic, the filling of the liquid in question, and so probably at high temperatures due to the vapor pressure as well as at low ones Temperatures from -40 ° C to -50 ° C due to the fluidity.
The above-mentioned problems with warheads in question To remedy genre and purpose with simple means is the task the invention.
This object is according to the invention by the in the characterizing part of Features specified 1 solved. Further advantageous Ausge Events can be found in the subclaims.
The warhead according to the invention is for effective combating of Flight destinations of any kind are best suited, regardless of whether their destination creation is rather hard or rather soft. This is explained in the special use of rods, be it in direct contact with or in an egg air gap to the fragmentation shell. The ge create possibility to, if necessary, said rods shortly before the target encountered quickly from the area of the fragment shell with pyrotechnic means to remove.
This can be done in such a way that they are parallel to each other, for example rods extending in the direction of the warhead's longitudinal axis with an aero dynamic outer shell are detachable. For this purpose it is recommended this outer shell at its front end as seen in the direction of flight with an in Separation point running circumferentially and with several in the length of the casing directional separating points in a uniform circumferential distribution see and at said separation points explosives in foil form, cutting cords or the like release agent.
At this point it should be noted that for the rods according to the invention Round profiles can be considered as well as flat profiles. A summary the same to a lattice structure and its embedding in a plastic matrix or foam mass are particularly recommended measures.
Dann zeigen in Form von Prinzipskizzen:The warhead according to the invention is described below using the diagram table drawing explained. Then show in the form of schematic diagrams:
Fig. 1 eine splittergebende Gefechtskopfausführung mit bedarfsweise in Abhängigkeit von der Beschaffenheit des angegriffenen Flugziel objektes steuerbarer Splittergröße und Fig. 1 is a fragmentation warhead design with, if necessary, depending on the nature of the attacked flight target object controllable fragment size and
FIG. 2 shows the same warhead design, namely in a longitudinal section along the line AA in FIG. 1.
The warhead according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has an explosive charge 1 with an associated ignition device 2 . The explosive charge 1 is surrounded by a fragment shell 3 . The latter consists of preformed splitters 4 in the form of plates, for example those made of steel. For further disassembly of the splinters 4 , if necessary, extend over the same rods 5 to 13 made of steel or the same, for which cross-sectional profiles 5 to 9 can be considered as well as round profiles 10 or flat profiles 11 to 13 with different dimensions.
Of the bars, the ones labeled 5 are in direct contact with the splinter casing 3 . As shown in the example of the rods 6 to 13 , air gaps 14 to 17 between the same and the splitters 4 are also possible, the respective distance dimensions being different.
They all remain in place and, in the event of a detonation, thus ensure that the preformed splinters 4 are further broken down if the attacked flight target object is of a relatively soft nature. On the other hand, there is a rapid mechanical detachment of said rods 5 to 13 from the warhead, with the result of fewer large fragments, should the attacked destination be relatively hard. The latter is guaranteed, for example, when the rods 5 to 13 in question are attached to an aerodynamic outer shell to form a lattice structure, as indicated at 18, to be precise on an outer shell which is attached to the upper or the upper by means of explosive charge foil or cutting cords ( 19 ) and the lower side is detachable and can also be separated 3 to 6 times in the longitudinal direction. The outer shell 8 , which has been blasted off and separated, is very quickly pushed away by the detonation pressure of the explosive charge 1 . Assuming that the effective length of the fragmentation casing is from 3 to 200 mm and the aerodynamic outer shell at the top with 100 m / s and 0.1 mm / us rises, the latter is in a period of about 3 ms (2 x 200 mm · Π / 4 · 0.1 mm / µs) from the splinter area. This would be the case in a vacuum. At the high flight speed, the blown and separated outer shell 18 is pulled off the warhead even more quickly by the existing air flow, for example in only about 1 ms. Because of this, the conversion of the warhead from a large number of relatively small fragments to large, less numerous fragments can easily be carried out shortly before the target encounter, for example using a seeker head or even the ignition sensor for the explosive charge 1 .
