Abstract

Hollow bodies are mfd. by a process in which: (a) the inner walls of a die (3) forming the outer contour of the hollow body are coated with an adhesive agent; and (b) the die cavity is filled completely with plastic flakes. After cross-linking the outer flakes in contact with the adhesive, the non-cross-linked flakes are removed.

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing Hollow bodies by conglutinating plastic flakes, especially flake-like plastic waste. A possible Process for making conglutinated foam fabrics using in particular polyurethane foam Waste is described in DE-OS 23 01 949. Such Procedures are becoming increasingly important as part of of recycling increases plastic waste to new pro products must be processed. With the usual be knew methods for the production of moldings Plastic flakes become these plastic flakes first wetted with an adhesive and then pressed to the final molded body. The molding or the networking process is preferably carried out under Superheated steam.

However, none can be achieved with the known methods Create hollow body. For example, the Her Position of tubular duct parts made of plastic flakes or flake-like plastic waste in particular interesting because there are channel walls that are conglutinated  Plastic flakes were built up by particularly gün Distinct acoustic properties.

The object of the invention is therefore to establish a method show with the help of this by conglutinating art Fabric flakes can also be made hollow.

To solve this problem it is provided that first on the inner walls of the outer contour of the hollow body determining form adhesive is applied to that closing the mold cavity completely with plastic flakes is filled and that after networking the outer, plastic flakes that come into contact with adhesive the non-cross-linked internal plastic flakes be removed. Advantageous further training is content of subclaims.

In the following a preferred embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the attached schematic diagrams. Here, FIG 1. 4 shows a section through an open mold, Fig. 2, this mold in the closed condition, Fig. 3 is a partial section through the completely filled with plastic flake form, and Fig. Is a partial longitudinal section through the finished hollow body.

The channel-like hollow body 1 shown in FIG. 4 is to be produced by conglutinating plastic flakes 2 . The hollow body 1 thereby is formed with respect to its outer contour in a two-part here mold 3, which consists of a lower mold 3 a and an upper mold 3 b. The mold cavity 4 delimiting inner walls 5 of the mold 3 determine the outer contour of the hollow body 1 as usual. As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, at least one channel 6 opens into the mold cavity 4 , but a total of two channels 6 are preferably provided on the two opposite sides of the mold 3 , the function of which results from the following description of the manufacturing process :
First, an adhesive medium is applied to the inner walls 5 of the mold 3 , which is suitable for a Ver cross-linking process between adjacent plastic flakes 2 , preferably PUR flakes, Hervu fen. This application of the adhesive takes place with the mold opened according to FIG. 1. Then the mold 3 is closed, as shown in FIG. 2.

Now plastic flakes 2 are filled into the cavity 4 via the channel 6 , preferably blown in. These flakes 2 , which have been made from PUR waste or PUR recycling products, are not themselves wetted with adhesive. However wets the at the Innenwän the 5 exploiting Dende adhesive the außenlie in the cavity 4 constricting outer plastic flakes 2, so that these äuße ren plastic flakes 2 - optionally under heat supply by the bottom mold 3 a and the top mold 3 b - Networking . At this stage, the entire mold cavity 4 is still filled with plastic flakes 2 , as shown in FIG. 3, since as many plastic flakes 2 as possible have been introduced into the closed mold 3 to ensure that the cavity 4 is completely filled with flakes 2 .

After the crosslinking process of the outer plastic flakes 2 coming into contact with adhesive, the non-crosslinked plastic flakes 2 located in the cavity 4 are removed. This can again be done via the channel 6 and preferably again by blowing. This gives the hollow body 1 shown in FIG. 4, which can be easily removed after opening the mold 3 .

The manufacturing process described is characterized by extreme simplicity and is therefore cheap and light feasible. The achievable with it are just as cheap Hollow bodies, not only from a recycling perspective, but also in terms of their acoustic properties, if these hollow bodies, for example, as channels for conduction in particular gaseous fluids can be used.
