Von diesen ist besonders das Terpentinöl bezw. das darin enthaltene Pinen vorteilhaft geeignet. Es zeichnet sich auch dadurch aus, daß die Chlorwasserstoffverbindungen etwa in gleichem Maße flüchtig sind wie Acetylentetrachlorid, was bei der Verwendung zum Umkristallisieren organischer Substanzen von Wichtigkeit ist.
