Abstract

Zusammensetzung umfassend:a) eine wirksame Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder einer Kombination davon; undb) eine wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon, wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 50:1 ist.

Claims (17)

  1. Zusammensetzung umfassend: a) eine wirksame Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder einer Kombination davon; und b) eine wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon, wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 50:1 ist.
  2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Zusammensetzung einen hydroalkoholischen Extrakt aus der Schale von Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen umfasst.
  3. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen etwa 1:1 und etwa 20:1 ist.
  4. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Zusammensetzung ein oral löslicher oder dispergierbarer bukkaler Streifen für die Aufnahme über die Schleimhaut, ein Kaugummi, eine Pastille, eine Brausetablette, eine Kapsel, ein Nahrungsmittel oder eine essbare Emulsion ist.
  5. Zusammensetzung umfassend: a) zwischen 20 mg und 5 g pro Dosis von Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder eines Extrakts, der genug Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, um zwischen 20 mg und 5 g Mangiferin oder Norathyriol pro Dosis bereitzustellen, wobei der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfassende Extrakt ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon; und b) Koffein.
  6. Nicht-therapeutische Verwendung einer Zusammensetzung bestehend aus: a) einer wirksamen Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder einer Kombination davon; b) einer wirksamen Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon;oder c) einer Kombination aus (a) und (b), wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 50:1 ist; zur Verbesserung mindestens eines aus Wachsamkeit, Aufmerksamkeit und Konzentration bei einem Individuum oder einem Säuger.
  7. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung den Extrakt aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder einer Kombination davon umfasst.
  8. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung die wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einem Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfassenden Extrakt umfasst.
  9. Verwendung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die wirksame Menge des Mangiferin oder des Norathyriol zwischen 20 mg und 5 g pro Dosis ist.
  10. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung eine Kapsel ist, die Mangiferin oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin umfasst, in einer wirksamen Menge zwischen 20 mg und 5 g pro Dosis umfasst.
  11. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung eine synergistische Kombination aus (a) und (b) umfasst, wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 20:1 ist.
  12. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung des Weiteren einen Wirkstoff umfasst, der ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus der Gruppe der B-Vitamine, Koffein, Citicolin, Citrullin, Cholin, Phosphatidylcholin, Curcumin, Huperzin, Luteolin, Ibogain, Magnesium, N-Methyltyramin, Omega-3-Fettsäuren, Octopamin, Phosphatidylserin, Phosphatidylserin, Quercetin, Rutin, Resveratrol, Synephrin, Taurin, Taxifolin, Theanin, Theobromin, Xanthohumol, Yangonin, Yohimbin, Ecdysteroid (20HE)-Extrakte aus Pflanzenarten der Gattungen Aloysia, Alpinia, Astragalus, Bacopa, Centella, Citrus, Coca, Cola, Curcuma, Coffea, Celastrus, Camellia, Eleutherococcus, Ephedra, Euterpe, Garcinia, Ginkgo, Ganoderma, Glycyrrhiza, Icariin, Ilex, Kaempferia, Ocimum, Paullinia, Panax, Pfaffia, Piper Pueraria, Rhodiola, Rhaponticum, Sida, Sideritis, Tabernanthe, Theobroma, Vitis, Withania, Zingiber, Ziziphus und Gemische davon.
  13. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Zusammensetzung eineKoffein-Ersatz-Zusammensetzung ist
  14. Verwendung nach Anspruch 6 als Koffein-Ersatz-Zusammensetzung, wobei die Zusammensetzung eine Kapsel ist, die Mangiferin oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin umfasst, in einer wirksamen Menge zwischen 20 mg und 5 g pro Dosis umfasst.
  15. Verfahren zum Ersetzen des gesamten Koffeins oder Theobromins oder eines Teils davon in einem Produkt, das Koffein oder Theobromin umfasst, durch eine Zusammensetzung, umfassend: a) eine wirksame Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder eine Kombination davon; b) eine wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon; oder c) eine Mischung aus (a) und (b), wobei jedes Milligramm an Koffein oder Theobromin, das aus dem Produkt, das Koffein oder Theobromin umfasst, entfernt wird, durch zwischen 20 und 200 mg des Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale und/oder Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen, und/oder zwischen 1 und 20 mg des Mangiferins, Norathyriols oder des Extrakts ersetzt wird.
  16. Zusammensetzung, umfassend: a) eine wirksame Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder einer Kombination davon; b) eine wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon; oder c) eine Kombination aus (a) und (b), wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 50:1 ist; zur Verwendung bei der Behandlung oder Vorbeugung von Symptomen bei Aufmerksamkeitdefizit-Syndrom (Attention Deficit Disorder), Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätssyndrom (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Verschlechterung der kognitiven Leistungsfähigkeit (cognitive decline), leichter kognitiver Beeinträchtigung (mild cognitive impairment), Demenz, Alzheimer Krankheit und/oder Parkinson-Krankheit.
  17. Nicht-therapeutische Verwendung einer Zusammensetzung, umfassend: a) eine wirksame Menge eines Extrakts aus Cyperus esculentus-Schale, Cyperus esculentus-Rhizomen oder eine Kombination davon; b) eine wirksame Menge an Mangiferin, Norathyriol oder einen Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, wobei der Extrakt, der Mangiferin oder Norathyriol umfasst, ein Mangiferin enthaltender Extrakt aus einer Pflanzenart einer Gattung ist, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Mangifera, Salacia, Cyclopia, Hypericum, Canscora, Fagraea, Gentiana, Hoppea, Swertia, Hypericum, Polygala, Ziziphus und Gemischen davon;oder c) eine Kombination aus (a) und (b), wobei das Verhältnis von (a) zu (b) zwischen 1:1 und 50:1 ist, zur Verringerung von Stress und zur Verbesserung der Stimmung bei einem menschlichen Individuum, wobei die Zusammensetzung die Alpha-2-Gehirnwellen-Aktivität des Individuums moduliert.
