werden, die auf kurzen Strecken eingesetzt werden (noh., dcsa
diese Fahrzeuge dauernd anhalten und anfahren massen), erreichen
nioht ihre \firkseinst6 Betriebstemperatur. Daher sammeln eich
im Inneren dieser Explosionsmotoren grosse Hengen an unerwünschten Produkten an, die durch eine unvollständige Verbrennung
des !Treibstoffs anfallen und aus ölunlösliohen Oxydationsprodukten
von Schmiermitteln sowie anderen Materialien bestehen. Lagern sich diese unerwünschten Produkte auf den
Motor teilen ab, dann wird die Leistung des Motors verschlechterte, (Jm eine Anreicherung von Premdmaterialien sowie eine
Ablagerung von Schlamm zu vermeiden, wird ein Dispersionsmittel als Zusatz au dem Schmieröl verwendet, so dass das in öl unlösliche Fremdmaterial sowie der Schlamm in dem öl suspendiert
bleiben und sich nicht auf irgendwelchen lebenswichtigen Motorteilen ablagern.
Zusätzlich zu dem Problem, welches durch die Ablagerung auf
Motorteilen entsteht, können die Verbrennungsprodukte des Treibstoffs -ainen übermäasigen Verschleiss verursachen, und zwar insbesondere
dann, wenn der Motor unter relativ kalten Bedingungen betrieben wird, da sich unter derartigen Bedingungen auf den
Motorobsrflachen Feuchtigkeit und saure Produirfee ansammeln.
Dies begünstigt einen Versaaleiss verschiedener Kotorteile.

entsprechenden Alkylenoxyd oder Diol, d.h. mit Äthylenoxyd,
Isopropylenoocyd, 1,3-Propylendiol oder dergleichen, in Gegenwart
eines sauren Katalysators, beispielsweise p-Toluolsulfonsäu- ä
re, hat die Bildung dee gewünschten N-suoBtituierten Formamide
zur Folge. Verbindungen der Formel A, wobei y und ζ mehr als
bedeuten» oder sogar, falls y oder ζ 1 sind, können ausgehend
von einem entsprechenden Alkylenpolyeiain durch Umsetzung fies»
selben mit dem gewünschten Alkylhalogenid in Gegenwart eines
Säureakseptore, wie beispielsweise Natriumcarbonat, hergestellt
werden. Pas erhaltene !-substituierte Alkylenpolyamin
wird ansehliGseend sit einem Alliylenosyd, wie beispielsweise
Ithylenosyd, zur üiasetsung gebracht, worauf dieses Produkt anschliessend

Herstellung A
Ein Dreihals-Rundkolben wird mit einem Thermometer, Rührer und
Rückflusskühler ausgerüstet. Dann wcrdon in dem Kolben 116 g
Hexamethylendiamin, 176 g n-DecylChlorid, 50 g Benzol und
eine Lösung, die 55 g natriumcarbonat enthält, vorgelegt« Die Lösung wird auf die Benzol-Rückflusβtemperatür gebracht und
auf dieser Temperatur ungefähr 1 Stunde gehalten,» Die Reaktionsmischung
wird abgekühlt, worauf die Benzolechicht abgetrennt
wird« Dann wird in einer geeigneten Destlllationsapparatur das Benzol s.bgeatrippt, wobei ein Rückstand zurückbleibt» der
N-Deeylhexamethylendiamin enthält. Dieser Rückstand wird anschließend
in einen Dreihals-Kolben überführt, der mit einem !Thermometer, .Rührer sowie Gaseinlass- und -auslas sr ohr en vor·»
sehen i8t. Äthylenoxyd wird durch diese Mischung bei einer Tem« peratur τοη 1300C geperlt. Es wird ein Produkt der nachstehend
angegebenen Formel isoliert:

Dem N~Polyäthoxy~Hf-decylhexemethylandiamin in Bensol werden
110 g Ithylformiat zugegeben. Die Lösung wird auf die Benzol-Rückflußsteinperatur
erhitzt und auf dieser Temperatur 2 Stunden lang gehalten. Der Rückflusskühler wird dann entfernt,
worauf Benzol, Äthanol und nichtumgeuetztes Äthylformiat von
der Mßohung abgestrippt werden. Der Rücketand enthält das

Ein Sreihals-Sundkolben wird mit einem thermometer, einem Gaseinü-assrohi·,
einem Rührer und einem Rückflusskühler ausgestattet. In den Kolben werden 130 g n-Ootylamiii und 32 g Benzo!
gegeben. Dann wird Fropyleidmin in die lösung bsi Umgebungstemperatur
eingeleitet. Bas von der Mischung isolierte Hauptprodulct
besteht aus 2[2-{2-Octylaminoisopx*opylamino)isopropylamino]-isopropylamin
und besitzt folgende Jonnel:
175 g diesea latraemins werden in Benzol in einem Dreihals-Kolben
gelöst, der mit einem ihermometer, einem Gaseinlass- und
-auslaasrohr sovde einem Rührer versehen ist. Äthylenoxyd wird
in dao ßywtem eingeleitet, welches bei üffigebungtiteiiipera'bur ge-

halten wird, so dass sich das Monoaddukt bildet. 162 g Ameisensäure
werdendem Monoäthylenoxydaddukt zugesetzt, worauf die lösung

wird. Das bei dieser Umsetzung isolierte Produkt besteht aus 316,9»12-3)e traazaf ormyl-4,7,10-trimethyleicoxylalkohol und

Ein DraihslB-Rundkolben wird mit einem Thermometer, Rührer und
Rückflusskühler ausgestattet« In den Kolben werden 22,5 g
2->Aminoäthanol, 10 g Bensol, 32 g Äthylohlorid und eine iiösimg,
die 27 g Natriumcarbonat enthalt, gegeben. BJLe Lösung wird
' auf die BenBol-Rückflusatsmperatur gebracht und auf dieser
Temperatur viährend einer Zeitspanne von 0,5 Stunden gehalten«
Die Heaktionsmischung wird anschlieosend abgekühlt, worauf
die Bensolachicht abgetrennt wird. In einer geeigneten Destillationsapparatur
wird das Benzol durch Doötillation on'bf ernt. Dann
werden dem Rückstand 43 g Äthylformiat zugeaotst, worauf die
Temperatur auf 5O0C erhöht wird. Die Mischung wird bei dieser

Umsetzung von entweder Diethanolamin oder Dipropanolamin mit

des Dihydroxyprodulctes erfolgt nach Standardmethoden unter |
Verwendung von entweder Ithylenosyd, Propylenoxyd oder !eilen
von beiden der vorstehend erwähnten AUcylenoxyde,
Diathanolformaaid wird wie folgt hergestellt: 210 g (2 Mol)
Diäthanolemin werden in einem Eeäktionokolben, der mit einem
Rührer, Rückflusskühler, Shemometer und Sröpftrichter versehen
ist, vorgelegt. Die Charge wird unter Etthren auf eine 2empe~
ratur von 95 - 10O0G erhitzt, worauf 163 g (2,2 Mol) Xthyl™
formiat während einer Zeitspanne von 1 Stunde auge se tat werden.
Die Mischung wird anschließsend unter Htickfluss 4 Stunden lang erhitzt.
Ithanol sowie niehtumgesetates Sthylfonniat werden aus
der Reaktionamischung durch Destillation entfernt, wobei die
Blasentempsratiur auf 130°G erhöht wird« Bann wird allmählich
der Druck, imter welchem das System etoht, auf 10 mm abgesenkt,

dass der Druck, unter welchem das System steht, swiscnan I941
und 1,76 atü (20 - 25 psig) liegt, und zwar solange, bis die Zuführung des im voraus abgewogenen ithylenoxyds beendet ist.
Die Mischung wird eine weitere Stunde lang gerührt, wobei während dieser Zelt der Druck, unter dem das System steht«
auf ungefähr 1,05 atü (15 psig) abfällt, woraus hervorgeht,
dass die iithylenoxydabsorption im wesentlichen beendet ist·
Die Charge wird auf Zimmertemperatur abgekühlt, worauf der Gef äs einhalt in ein Glasgefäss überführt wird. Der Katalysator
wird durch sorgfältige Zugabe der äquivalenten Menge an H2SO*
in Form einer 20 £igen wässrigen Lösung neutralisiert. Bas
neutralisierte Produkt wird anaohliessend bei vermindertem
Druck zur Entfernung von Wasser und Methanol gestrippt· Bas gestrippte Produkt wird ansohliessend auf einen Saugtriohter
zur Entfernung des Niederschlags, und zwar des Hatriumeulfats,
filtriert. Das anfallende, hell-bernsteinfarbene 711trat wiegt

die erfiiidungsgemässen Zwecke sind Mischlingen der verschiedenen
Butene0 Die am häufigsten verwendeten Butene weisen sowohl geradkettige
als auch verzweigtkettige Komponenten auf„ Es ist ferner
möglich und häufig zweckmässig, ein besonderes Isomeres, wie

Wenn auch die Gruppe R in der Formel D derart eingezeichnet wurde,
dass sie mit einem spezifischen Kohlenstoffatom verknüpft ist, so ist dennoch darauf hinzuweisen, dass die Gruppe H auoh
an dem anderen Kohl enst off atom, welches sich in α-Stellung au
der andere» Oarbonylgruppe befindet, sitzen kann. Die Gruppe R

Polyolefin wird zuerst mit dem Maleinsäureanhydrid bei Temperaturen von ungefähr 200 - 2500C während einer .Zeitspanne
von ungefähr 6-16 Stunden, je nach Bedarf, umgesetzt. Das
Maleinsäureanhydrid wird im Überschuss Texwendet, und zwar vorzugsweise in einer Menge, die ungefähr aas 1,5- bis 3-faohe der
stöchiometrischen Menge beträgt, Die Verwendung eines überschüssigen Maieinsäureanhydrids hat die Folge, dass die Aus-
^ beuten Maximalwerte erreichen. Bas Polyolefin reagiert mit
dem Maleinsäureanhydrid unter Bildung eines Bemetelnsäureanhydridderivats, das von dem überschüssigen Maleinsäureanhydrid durch Vakuumdestillation oder eine ähnliche Behandlung
abgetrennt werden kann. Bas Produkt kann mit Xylol oder einem ähnlichen Lösungsmittel verdünnt und filtriert werden.
Die erfindungsgemässen Alkenylsuooinate werden durch Umsetzung
eines Alkenylbernsteinsäureanhydride, einer Alkenylbernsteinsäure oder einer Alkenyleuccinamidsäur« alt entweder einem
" Formamido-enthaltendon einwertigen Alkohol (vergleiche die Formeln A oder 0), einer Formamldo-enthaltenden zweiwertigen Verbindung (vergleiche die Formel B) oder mit Mischungen aus Verbindungen, welche diese beiden Gruppen fallen, hergestellt.

Die Komponenten werden auf Hückflussteinperatur (130 während
einer Zeitspanne» von 14 Stunden ©rhitat. Nach dieser
Zeit hat sich dio thooratlache Waösemienge in dem Wasoarabscheider

Bei dem Plattenkochertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 $ des
vorstehend erwähnten Alkenylsuccinats enthält, eine Ablagerung
mit einem Gewicht von 50 mg. Das gleiche Ul ohne Additiv hat
die Bildung einer Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 322 mg zur Polge.
Bei dem Sundstrand-Pumpentest unter Verwendung von 0,01 g in

Die nachstehend angegebenen Materialien \*erden in der gleichen
Weise wie in Boiopiel 4 sur Umsetzung gebracht:
884 g einer 90 #igen Lösung von Polybutenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid
in Xylol (mit einem Anhydrid-Gehalt von 0,72 mMol/g), hergestellt aus Maleinsäureanhydrid
und Polybuten mit einem Molekulargewicht von 1000,
136,2 g N->Methyl-lSf-hydro2qräthylforjaaiBid und 100 com
loluol.
Das Endalkenylsuccinatprodukt besitsst nach dem Strippen und
einer Filtration einen Stickstoffgehalt von 1,6 % (Theorie β
1,97).
Bei dem Plattenkochertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 # des
vorstehend erwähnten Alkenylsuccinats enthält, eine Ablagerung
mit einem Gewicht von 103 mg. Das gleiche Ol liefert ohne Additiv
eine Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 322 mg.
Bei dem Sundstrand-Pumpentest unter Verwendung von O9OI g in
100 ml des Öls beträgt das Gewioht des Schlamms 5 ng, während

wobei eine Sehlammbeitfertung nach einer 75-stiindigen Maschinenbetriebsdauer
von 66j 1 (70,0 = sauber) ermittelt wird. Der Wert für das Vergleichsöl allein beträgt 39,7.
Ein Polyester wird aus 460 !eilen der Polybutenylbernst©inBäure~
anhydridlösung gemäee Beispiel 1 und 29*8 Teilen Diäthanolformamid
(äquimolaree Terhältnis) durch Erhitaon der Komponenten
auf Rückflusstemperatur (143 - 145°ö) in 250 Seilen Xylol während
einer Zeitspanne von 7 Stunden unter Verwendung eines Wasserabscheiders hergestellt» Nach Beendigung dieser Zeitspanne
hat sich die theoretische Wassorraenge (40 ml) gesammelt. Die
Heaktionsmischung wird durch Abstrippen bei 13O°O/O,3 mm Hg

polyssterprodukt besitst eiae Azidität von 0,028 mföol/g und

Bei dem Plattenkochertest ergibt eine Minohung, die 1,0 # des
vorstehend angegebenen AUcenylsuccinatpolyeßters enthält, eine
Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 17 mg. Sets gleiohe öl ohne
Additiv hat die Bildung einer Abscheidung mit einem Gewicht von 322 mg zur folge.
Bei dem Sundstrand-Pumpentest unter Verwendung von O3OI g in
100 ml des Öls beträgt das Gewicht des Schlamms 6 mg, während das Öl ohne jedes Additiv die Bildung eines Schlamms mit einem
Gewicht von 240 mg zur Polge hat.
1,55 Seile des vorstehend beschriebenen Alkenylsueeinatpolyesters
werden mit 1,0 Teil 4j4!-Methylen-bis«2,6-di-tert.-butylphenol
und 6,O1 !eilen eines handelsüblichen Polymethaery-Iat-Viskositätsindex-Verbesseru2igsmittel3
in 9^,45 Seile eines
170 SUS Md-Continent Solvent Extracted Neutral-Öls eingemischt.
Die Viskosität dieser Mischung beträgt 11,27 oSt. bei 100°0
(2100P) und 61,34 cSte bei 38°0 (1000SO9 wobei der Viskositätsindox
zu 148 ermittelt wird. Der ASSM-SIieespunkt beträgt
-34°0 (-300P)0 Diese Mischung wird dem Sequenoe-V-A-Test unterzogen,
wobei eine Schlemmbevrertung am 2nd© einer 75-ßtündigen

Ein gemischter Säureester wird aus 440 Teilen der 3?olybutenyl-■bernsteinsäureanhydridlösung
gemäes Beispiel 1 und 13,1 Seilen
Diätlianolformamid durch !Srhitzen einer gerührten Misohung der
zwei Reaktanten auf 50 - 700C während einer Zeitspanne von
4 Stunden hergestellt. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ergibt die Infrarot« ™
analyse, dass die Reaktion beendet ist, und zwar kann dies aus dem Yersehwinden der Anftydridfunktionalität geschlossen werden.
Das Säureesterprodukt wird durch Takuumstrippen "bei 100°0
sowie durch Filtrieren isoliert. Azidität = 0,54 BiMol/g; $ N =
0,35 (SlieoriG β O934).

Bei dem Plattenkochertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 1» des
vorstehend angegebenen Alkenylsuccinats enthält, eine Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 18 mg. Das gleiche öl ohne Additiv
hat die Bildung einer Ablagerung alt einen Gewicht vom 322 ng

Bei dem Sundstrand-Pumpentest unter Verwendung von 0,01 g In
100 ml des Öls beträgt das Gewiaht der Aufsohlänaang 5 Sg9 wehrend das Ol ohne Additiv die Bildung eines Sohlaans Mit einem

Eine Mischung aus 230 Seilen der Polybutenylbernsteinsäureanhydridlösung
gemäss Beispiel 1, 22,5 feilen HydrosEyäthylformnini,d
und 100 !Seilen Xylol wird 3 Stunden lang auf 155 - 16O°C {Eiickfluss)
erhitzt, Nach diesem Zeitpunkt hat sich, die theoretische Wassermenge (2,0 ml) gesammelt. Das dunkle bernsteinfarbena
und viskose Alkenylsuccinatprodukt wird durch Vakuumstrippen
und Filtrieren erhalten. Azidität = 0,08 mMol/g. |
Bei dem Platteokochertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 # des

Bei dem Sundstrand-Pumpentest unter Verwendung von O9OI g in
100 ml des Öls beträgt das Gewicht des Schlamms 93 mg, während das Ul ohne jedes Additiv die-Bildung eines Schlamms mit einem
Gewicht von 220 mg zur Folge hat.
Bine Mischung aus 505»0 Seilen einer 90 #igen Lösung eines PoIybatenylbernsteineäureanhydrids
mit einem Anhydrid-Gehalt von 0,46 mMol/g (hergestellt aus Maleinsäureanhydrid und Polybuten
mit einem Molekulargewicht von 1195) in Xylol, 67»7 Seilen

und 200 Teilen Xylol wird bei 140 - 144°ö 17 Stunden lang unter Verwendung eines Wasserabscheider am Rückfluss gehalten. Nach dieser Zeitspanne hat
die S*reis6t2ung von Wasser aufgehört. Das Material wird durch
Abstrippen im Vakuum von dem Lösungsmittel befreit un3 filtriert.
Daß bernsteinfarbene viskose Alkenyleucoinatprodukt besitzt
eine Azidität von 0,07 mMol/g und einen Stickstoffgehalt von
1>16 $ (Eheorie « 1,25 *).
j$ei dem Plattenkoohertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 $ des
vorstehend angegebenen Alkenylsucoinats enthält, eine Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 30 mg, Sas gleiohe Ol ohne Additiv
hat die Bildung einer Ablagerung Bit einem Gewicht von 322 mg
zur Folge·
Bei dem Sundstrand-Tumsentest unter Verwendung von 0,01 g in
100 ml des öle beträgt das Gewicht des Schlammes 32 mg, während
das öl ohne Additiv die Bildung eines Sohlasms mit einem Oewioht von 187 mg aur Folge hat.
10 beschriebenen Methode hergestellt:
244 Seile der PolybuiienylcernBteinßäureanhydridlösung gemäss Beispiel 1Q,

53,1 Seile Hydroxyäthyltetraäthosy-N^ethyl
und
100 Seile Xylol.
Fach, dem Vataiumatrippen und dem Filtrieren stellt sich heraus,
dass das bernsteinfarbene -viskose Alkenylsuccinatprodukt eine
Azidität το» 0,11 mMol/g besitzt.
Bei dem Plattenkoehertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 Jt dea
-vorstehend angegebenen Alkenylsuoeinats enthält, eine Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 28 mg. Das gleiche öl ohne Additiv
hat die Bildung einer Ablagerung mit einem Gewicht von 322 Bg
zur Folge,
Bei dem Sunastrand-Pumpentest tint er Verwendung von 0,01 g in
100 ml des Öls betragt das Gewicht des Schlamms 34 mg, während das öl ohne Additiv die Bildung eines Schlamms mit einem Gewicht
von 179 mg sur Folge hat.
Eine Mischung aus 205 Seilen einer 90 £igen Lösung eines PoIybutenylbernsteinsättreanhydrlds
in lylol, die 0,488 mMol des
Anhydrids pro g enthält (hergestellt aus Maleinsäureanhydrid
und Polybuten mit einem Molekulargewicht von 1350), 81 Teilen

heiamethylendiaailn und 50 Teilen Xylol wird 10 Standen lang
unter Röhren eof 85 * 90°C erhitzt. Hach Beendigung dieser
Periode ist die Mischung vollständig homogen, nobel die Infra~
rotanalyse zeigt, dass die Anhydrid-Peaks ix wesentlichen vollständig verschwunden sind. Hach den Entfernen des flüchtigen
Leeimgsmittels durch Abstrippen im Vakuum wird das Produkt in Form einer klaren dunklen Tiekosen Pltlselgkeit erhalten, i» Stick*

Ende der Umsetzung zu dem Monoeater lässt sich anhand einer
Infrarotanalyse feststellen. Das Produkt wird durch Abstrippen
von dem flüchtigen Lösungsmittel im Vakuum bei 30°C/i mm befreit.

Eine Mischung aue 1390 g einer 90 ^igen lösung eines Polybutenylbernsteinoeureanhydrids
(hergestellt aus Maleinsäureanhydrid und Polybuten mit einem Molekulargewicht von öpO) Iu .{7I0I,

wobei der Anhydrid-Gehalt 0,720 mMol/g beträgt, und 13Og
tert.-Oetylamin wird 10 Stunden lang gerührt und auf 10O0C
erhitzt. Die !lösungsmittel sowie das nlohtuingesetzte tert,-Ootylamln werden durch Vakuums trippen entfernt, wobei die
Amidsäure als Bwisohenprodukt (# Stickstoff« 0,90) erhalten
wird. Xqulmolare Mengen an Amidsäure und H-Methyl-H-hydroxyw äthylformamid werden naoh der in Beispiel 4 beschriebenen
Arbeltsweise umgesetet· Sas Endalkenylsucoinamatprodukt wird
Im Vakuum gestrippt und filtriert.
Bei dem Plattenkoohertest ergibt eine Mischung, die 1,0 j£
des vorstehend angegebenen Alkenylsucoinamats enthält, eine
Abscheidung mit einem Gewicht von 55 mg· Das gleiche Ol ohne
Additiv hat die Bildung einer Abscheidung mit einem Gewicht von 522 mg zur folge,
Ihnliohe Xestergebnisse werden erzielt, wenn die Beispiele 3
und 4 wiederholt werden, mit der Ausnahme, dass ein chloriertes Polypropen mit einem durchschnittlichen Molekulargewicht von
ungefähr 900 und einem Chlorgehalt von 3,9 £ anstelle des Polybutene verwendet wird. Das Polvpropenvlsuooinsäureanhydrld enthält 0,91 jaMol des Anhydrids pro g des Materiale.

Produkt naah Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung (1) ein Polybutenylbernsteinsäureannydrid ist und die Verbindung (2) eine Verbindung der Formel A ist, wobei H für Wasserstoff steht, A Äthylen versinnbildlicht, χ 1 bedeutet und y O ist.8. Produkt nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung ^i) ein Polybutenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid ist und die Verbindung (2) unter die Formel A fällt, wobei H für Methyl steht, A Äthylen ist, χ den Wert von 1 besitet und y O ist.9. Produkt nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung (1) ein Polybutenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid ist und die Verbindung (2) unter die Formel A fällt, wobei R1 und Rg Wasserstoff bedeuten, A Äthylen ist und x, y und ζ jeweils 1 sind.10.
