Apparatus for printing sheet steel The invention is concerned
with a device for, in particular, multi-colored printing on sheet steel, the
primarily for containers of all kinds and preferably for sheet metal packs such as
Cans and boxes are to be further processed.
. >- Z all ar. d a

The multicolored printing of metal sheets before they are formed into boxes. Cans or the like. As packaging material has hitherto mainly been done in such a way that the printing is carried out as area printing, each color requiring a corresponding separate printing process, so that this type of printing on sheet metal is cumbersome and uneconomical. In contrast, the invention assumes that the printing of sheet steel in tape form in continuous rotary printing with several printing stations, and proposes to hold the tape in the printing stations by electromagnetic or permanent magnetic clamping on the printing rollers, including each printing station for clamping and promoting the Steel band is equipped with a magnetizable pressure roller rotating at the same speed, which is wrapped around a substantial part of its circumference by the steel band. The printing rollers are driven in the same direction by a gear drive so that a push the individual print images against each other as a result

The invention proposes the steel belt between two
