Dies bedeutet nicht nur eine direkte Materialersparnis, sondern erleichtert auch die Auswahl der für die eigentliche Lichtquellenspeisung erforderlichen Kabel oder Litzen innerhalb des Pendelrohres in Bezug auf Farbkennzeichnung, da die Schutzleiterader, für die eine bestimmte, z. B. rote Kennzeichnung vorgeschrieben ist, fortfällt.
