Regenschutzbekleidungsstücke wie z. B. Motorradüberhosen, Anoraks, Mantel, Skiblusen od. dergl. wurden bislang aus einem strapazierfähigem, wasserundurchlässigem oder mindestens wasserabstoßendem Stoff od. sonstigen Material hergestellt-, welches sehr schwer im Gewicht und steif ist. Bedingt durch die Verwendung dieses Materials war beispielsweise die ganze Motorradüberhose schwer im' Gewicht und selbst im zusammengelegtem Zustand immer noch ein kleines Paket., welches dem Motorradfahrer immer im Weg war, wenn es nicht gerade gebraucht wurde.
