Es sind Glasgefäße bekannt, bei denen in dem von den doppelten Wandungen umschlossenen luftleeren Hohlraum an den Wänden nicht befestigte Einlagen aus einem elastischen Stoff angeordnet sind, der die Wärme schlecht leitet und zur Versteifung des Innengefäßes dient, wodurch der sonst leicht eintretende Bruch des Gefäßes verhindert wird, falls dasselbe in gefülltem Zustände transportiert wird. Die vorliegende Erfindung besteht nun darin, daß die kleinen Einlagen aus Asbest oder irgend einem anderen . die Wärme schlecht leitenden Stoff, welche zweckmäßig nahe dem Boden des Gefäßes angebracht sind, auf dünnen Drähten aufgereiht werden. Die Aufreihung dieser Einlagen auf einem dünnen ringförmigen Draht, welcher zweckmäßig gespannt wird, bewirkt, daß dieselben die ihnen gegebenen Abstände voneinander innehalten und sich nicht verschieben, wodurch ein auf den Innenseiten der Doppelwände befindlicher Spiegelbelag des Glasgefäßes beschädigt, also die Eigenschaften des Glasgefäßes, Temperaturänderungen im Innern desselben fast auszuschließen, stark vermindert würde.'
