Geeignete Substituenten X sind beispielsweise Methyl,
Äthyl, Chlor, Nitro, Methoxy, Äthoxy. Fluor oder Brom.
Für R sind beispielsweise folgende Reste zu nennen: Wasserstoff, Methyl-, Äthyl-, Phenyl-, substituierte
Phenyl-, wie 2- oder 3- oder 4-Chlor-, 2- oder 3- oder 4-Methyl-, 2- oder 3- oder 4-Methoxyphenyl-, Cyclohexyl-,
Naphthyl-(l)- oder -(2)-„ Pyridyl-(2)- oder Benzthiazolyl-Reste.
Man erhält die neuen Disazopigmente der Formel I, indem man Disazofarbstoffe der Formel

worin X und m die angegebene Bedeutung haben, oder deren Di-anhydride mit mindestens 2 Mol einer
Verbindung der Formel
H2N-R
worin R die angegebene Bedeutung hat, zur Diimid-Verbindung kondensiert und dabei die Ausgangskomponenten
frei von Sulfonsäuregruppen wählt. Man erhält auf diese Weise in organischen Lösungsmitteln
schwer lösliche Pigmentfarbstoffe.
Die Ausgangsfarbstoffe der Formel II können erhalten
werden, indem man 1 Mol einer bifunktionellen Kupplungskomponente
COCH3 COCH3
CH2-CONH-Ai-NH-CO-CH2
mit 2 Mol diazotierter gleicher oder verschiedener, gegebenenfalls substituierter Aminophthalsäure kuppelt,
wobei man die Ausgangskornponenten frei von
fulfonsäuregruppen wähli. Die Kupplung von zu-■iichst
1 Mol diazotierter, gegebenenfalls substituierter Amino-phtbalsäure auf einen der oben aufgeführten
xweiweriigen organischen Reste führt, bedingt durch He beiden Carboxylgruppen, zu einem im alkalischen
Milieu gut löslichen Monoazofarbstoff, so daß die Reaktion mit einem zweiten Mol, gegebenenfalls
substituierter Amino-phthalsäure. leicht möglich ist.
Die entstandenen Disazotetracarbonsäurefarbstoffe
sind im Reaktionsgemisch teils gut, teils schwerer löslich.
Für den Aufbau der Disazofarbstoffe (U) sind beispielsweise
folgende Diazokomponenten verwendbar:
3-Amino-phthalsäure,
3-Amino-4-methyl-phthalsäure,
S-Amino-o-meihyl-phthalsaure,
S-Amino-S-nitro-phthalsäure,

Die in Wasser relativ gut löslichen Disazotetra·;
carbonsäuren (H) werden erfindungsgemäß durch Behandlung mit wasserentziehenden Mitteln, z. B. durch
Erhitzen mit Essigsäure oder Essigsäureanhydrid oder Natriumacetat oder Eisen(IH)-chlorid, allein
oder in einem höhersiedenden organischen Lösungsmittel, in die entsprechenden Disazo-tetracarbonsäuredianhydride(I)(Y
= 0), überführt, welche in Wasser sowie in organischen Lösungsmitteln schwer
löslich sind.
Die Kondensation der Ausgangskomponenten (H) bzw. deren Dianhydride mit Ammoniak bzw. den
Aminen {III) wird vorzugsweise in einem '.höhesiedenden organischen Lösungsmittel und in Gegenwart
waisserentziehender Mitte! durchgeführt, wobei
auch die Komponenten selbst als organischesLösungs-
mittel [tangieren können. Die Kondensation erfolgt beispiefciweise bei erhöhterTemperatur, im allgemeinen
Bereich von 80 bis 2400C und vorzugsweise zwischen
100 und 1800C, gegebenenfalls unter Drude Für
diese Umsetzung geeignete Monoamine sind beispielsweise Methylamin, Äthyilamin, Anilin, 2- oder
3- oder 4-Chloranilin, 2- ader 3- oder 4-Methylanüin,
2- oder 3- oder 4-Meihoxyanilin, 2- oder 4-Nitranilin,
4-Amino-benzamid, N-Acetyl-phenylendiamin-1,4;
N - Benzoyl - phenylendiamin - 1,3, Cyclohexylamin, 2 - AminobenzthiazoL 2 - Amino - pyridin, 1- und
2-Amino-naphthalin and 3-Alnino-4-chlor-benzamid.
Für clie Kondensation der Disazofarbstoffe (H) oder
deren Dianhydride mit den Verbindungen (III) in hochsiedenden organischen Lösungsmitteln sind z. B.
folgende über 800C siedende Lösungsmittel geeignet:
Benzol, Toluol, Xylole, Chlorbenzol, o-, m-, p-Dichlorbem»L
Trichlorbenzole, Chinolin, Nitrobenzol, Eisessig, Cyclohexao, lA3,4~Tetrahydronaphthaün,
Naphtlialin, Tetrachloräthylea, Anisol, Diphenyläther,
Di-n-butyläther, Decalin und Gemische solcher Lösungsmittel. Als bevorzugt mitzuverwendende wasserentziehende
Mittel kommen beispielsweise in Betracht: Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Propionsäure, wasserfreies
Natriumacetat, Zinkchlorid, Eisenchlorid,
Aluminiumchlorid und Bortrüuorid.
Für die Umsetzung der Disazotetracarbonsäuren (I I)
bzw. deren Di-anhydride mit den Verbindungen (III) werden mindestens 2 Mol der Verbindungen (III) eingesetzt,
im allgemeinen wird im Oberschuß, und zwar bis zu 5 Mol der Komponente (Hl) pro 1 Mol der
Komponente (II), gearbeitet, um die Komponenten (I I) vollständig zur Umsetzung zu bringen.
Je nach Wahl der Komponenten (III) lassen sich
symmetrische und unsymmetrische Disazofarbstoffe der Formel I aufbauen.
Die verfahrensgemäß erhältlichen Produkte sind wertvolle Pigmentfarbstoffe, die sich allgemein durch
gute Lösungsmittel-, Licht- und Migrationsechtheit sowie gute Temperaturbeständigkeit auszeichnen. Sie
finden Anwendung zum Färben von Kunststoffen, wie z. B, weichmacherhaltigem Polyvinylchlorid, Polyäthylen
und Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol-Misch- und
Pfropfpolymerisaten, Lacken, Papieren und zur Herstellung von Druckfarben und Pigmentpasten.
Gegenüber den aus der GB- PS 8 73 003, Beispiele 20 und 21 bekannten Pigmenten zeigen die erfindungsgemäßen
Pigmente mit 3-Amino-N-phenylphthalimid
bzw. 3-Amino-N-o-methylphenylphthalimid den
überraschenden Vorteil der besseren Lichtechtheit.
In den folgenden Beispielen stehen Teile für Gewichtsteile; die Temperaturen sind Celsiusgrade.
7,0 Teile des Azofarbstoffe aus 2 Mol diazotiertem 4 - Amino - phthalsäureanhydrid und N,N' - Bis-(acetoacetyl)-2,5-dichlor-phei!iylendiamin-1,4
werden in 250 Teilen Chlorbenzol mit 2 Teilen Methylamin
zunächst 2 Stunden auf 100° erhitzt. Dann setzt man 25 Teile Eisessig zu und hält weitere 8 Stunden
bei 120°. Nach dem Abkühlen auf 40" saugt man
ab wäscht mit 40° warmem Chlorbenzol und trocknet bei 80° bis zur Gewichtskonstanz. Man erhalt
7,2 TeUe des Azofarbstoffe der Formel

Das Pigment besitzt sehr gute Migrationsechtheit und Hitzebeständigkeit.
50 Teile des Azofarbstoffe aus 2 Mc.} diazotierter 4-Amino-5-chIor-phthalsäure und N,N'-Bis-(acetoacetyl)
- 2,5 - dichlorphenylen - diamin - 1,4 werden durch 2stündiges Erhitzen in 500 Teilen Chlorbenzol
mit 50 Teilen Essigsäureanhydrid ins Dianhydrid übergeführt.
7,6 Teile dieses Dianhydrids werden in 500 Teilen o-Dichlorbenzol mit 5 Teilen 2,5-Dichlor-anilin 2 Stunden
auf 120° erhitzt. Dann setzt man 50 Teile Eisessig zu und hält weitere 12 Stunden bei 130 bis
140°. Das Pigment wird bei 70° abgesaugt, mit o-Dichlorbenzol gewaschen und im Vakuum bei
80° bis zur Gewichtskonstanz getrocknet. Die Ausbeute beträgt 10,1 Teile Pigmentfarbstoff der Formel
