Danish-walled container made of plastic with airtight closure The invention relates to a thin-walled container made of plastic with an airtight closure, which is provided in particular to be closed with a filled, hot CD product, for example fruit juices or the like the effect of the negative pressure that occurs when the contents cool down in the closed container and snaps into place is modeled on this.
Convergent cans are already known, in the lids of which an area is pre-formed which snaps under the effect of the negative pressure prevailing inside the can (USA Pat. No. 2 027 430). In the case of the known cans, this snap-in lid area serves as an indication of whether the desired negative pressure still exists in the can, or whether the contents of the can are spoiled. As a result, the snap-in lid area in the known cans is designed in such a way that when it snaps into place it causes only a slight change in the volume of the can, and it is also designed to endeavor to snap back outwards even when it is snapped into place relatively small loss of negative pressure in the can is sufficient to let the indicating lid part snap outwards again.
It has also already been proposed to use thin-walled containers,
the goods in the hot state are hermetically sealed with a
Wall area of increased elasticity, including one that snaps inwards
To provide bottom part to the prevailing in the interior of the container under it
to prevent the container walls from deforming in an uncontrollably harmful manner
and to create kinks in the thin walls of the container.
maschinelle I'Men des behälters nachtei-lig sein.
Evtl.
Überdruck in diesem Luftraum.
In contrast, the invention is based on the object of creating a way that snapping in a container wall part causes a relatively large change in the container volume by the snap-in movement, so that when this wall area snaps into place, the inside of the container chelide-under pressure is largely or completely eliminated This is achieved by the invention in that the container is provided in a manner known per se with a hollow bottom set back from the lower edge towards the inside of the container with a circumferential collar extending essentially parallel to the lower region of the container wall to the lower edge of the container and that the actual base is inside of the upper edge of this peripheral collar is designed with an inwardly and outwardly snap-in curvature in the form of a spherical cap. As a result of the invention, this curvature, which can be snapped inwards and outwards, lies on the known design of the container with a hollow bottom at a predetermined distance above the lower edge of the container and is therefore able to do so without impairing the footprint of the container by a
proportionately large measure to snap inward or outward.
Due to the arrangement of the snapping curvature in the bottom of the container
1
is achieved that the container? #ia t eh snapped down
Fill the bottom and close with a lid just above the filled goods. The air space between the lid and the contents can be kept relatively small. In such an only small air space, the resulting underdust can be practically completely eliminated by snapping the container bottom 5 into place. If, for example, the snap-in area were to be provided in the lid, as is the case with the known cans, then when the container is snapped out, it would form an additional air cushion above it. On the other hand, areas of increased elasticity that are attached to the side wall of the container would be disadvantageous for the mechanical opening of the container. Attaching the snap-in arch on the hollow floor offers the advantage that the peripheral collar of the hollow floor no (b is an additional flexible element that makes it easier to snap the arched floor area achieved when the dome-shaped curvature occupies the entire bottom surface lying within the upper edge of the circumferential collar. Such a design makes it possible to make the depth of the dome-shaped arch relatively deep, for example with 10 i # ri of the diameter of the arched bottom The circumferential collar immediately surrounding the bottom area also makes it possible to set the curvature relatively steeply at its circumferential edge In addition, the radius of curvature of the curvature can be relatively small
for example, the same size to about 50% larger than the diameter of the curved bottom. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing, a container constructed according to the invention is shown in vertical section. The left part a of the drawing shows the container with the bottom snapped down and the right part b of the drawing with the bottom snapped up. In the example shown, the container 1 is made in one piece from plastic. In the upper part of the container is designed with a closing and stowage element 2, into which the lid 3) is inserted. The container opening is provided with a circumferential edge 4 onto which the circumferential edge 5 of the lid 3 is tightly opened all around. In the lower edge area of the container 2, the container base is made in one piece with the container wall. The container base has a surrounding collar 6 and an actual base plate 7 . The circumferential collar 6 extends from the lower edge 8 of the container 1, which serves as an adjusting edge, approximately parallel to the lower region of the container wall towards the interior of the container and merges into the base plate 7 at its upper edge. The bottom plate 7 is curved in the form of a spherical plate. The radius of curvature 9 of this curvature is approximately 70- = in the example shown, while the diameter 10 of the circular area formed by the upper edge of the circumferential collar 6 is approximately 50 mm. Thus the radius of curvature 9 is about 40 v # o 'larger than the diameter 10. The depth 11 of the curvature is about 5 mm in the example shown and is therefore only slightly smaller than the 6 to 8 mm height of the circumferential collar 6. In the left part a of the drawing -, - the container is shown in a state immediately after it has been closed. in which the contents of the container are still hot. The air space 12 above the product is still filled with vapors. Possibly overpressure in this air space. 12 can be caught by cover 3 by arching upwards and downwards. After the container contents have cooled down and the vapors condense in the air space 12 and as a result of the volume reduction of the container contents and the air contained in the air space 12 due to their temperature reduction, a negative pressure is formed inside the container 1. In the right part b 'of the drawing it is shown how the base plate 7 is snapped inwardly CD under the effect of this negative pressure. Here, the FUillhöhespiele-L has' raised the container contents slightly and thus reduces the air space 12 and removed the vacuum there, through the-invention it is possible, by the snapping of the bottom, ilatte 7 - achieved reduction in volume of the container 1 the size of the air space 12 provided for each ##., respective container. Is, for example, a larger air space 12 as provided in the example shown, dannkann by reducing the radius of curvature 9 with a corresponding increase in the height of the peripheral collar 6 which are tendencies, Belladonna by the bottom plate 7 hiiappen achieved curvature and reducing the Behäliers 1 or enlarged. The desired coordination of these variables with one another can be calculated beforehand or determined empirically.
