Accordingly, it is the object of the present invention to provide a lid for a tea container, which is easy to use at low cost and splash-proof.

This object is achieved by a lid for a tea container with the characterizing features of claim 1.

Fig. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of a lid 1 for a tea cup formed here as a cup 2, wherein the lid 1 is placed on the cup 2.
