Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur unmittelbaren Nachbildung von Hochdruckformen durch direktes Einprägen der Formen in dünne Blätter aus prägbarem Material, die auf der von der Form abgewendeten Seite eine druckfähige positive Nachbildung der Form aufweisen. An sich ist dies Verfahren nicht neu. Es ist z. B. bekannt, unter ein weiches Metall-, Papier- oder Pergamentblatt ein Löschblatt zu legen und dann mittels eines spitzen, harten Griffels die Schreibseite des zuerst genannten Blattes zu beschreiben oder mit anderen Zeichen zu versehen. Hierbei drückt sich dann die Schrift durch, so daß sie auf der anderen Seite des Metall-, Papier- oder Pergamentblattes erhaben als Spiegelschrift erscheint. Ein derartig mit erhabenen Zeichen versehenes Blatt wird in der Weise verwendet, daß nach Einfärbung ein Abklatsch von demselben genommen wird, welcher sich durch Auflegen von Papier und Überführen einer Rolle von Hand erzeugen läßt.
