In dem Patent 139367 ist ein Gas-Brat- und Backherd beschrieben, bei welchem die Heizgase, je nach der Stellung eines Bodenschiebers, durch Löcher im Boden des Brat-5 ofens oder seines Umraumes in ersteren oder letzteren treten. Da mit wachsender Größe des Bodens die Schwierigkeit der Schieberbewegung sowie der Widerstand des Durchganges der heißen Gase durch die kleineren Löcher wächst, so ist, um diese Mängel zu beseitigen, bei der hier dargestellten Ausführungsform der Bodenschieber durch Klappen ersetzt, welche die an Stelle der Löcher im Boden angebrachten längeren Schlitze verschließen.
