In der Patentschrift 131725 ist ein gelbbrauner Schwefelfarbstoff beschrieben worden, welcher durch Behandlung von Dinitrobenzylsulfosä'ure mit Schwefel und Schwefelalkalien erhalten wird.In the patent specification 131725 a yellow-brown sulfur dye has been described, which by treating dinitrobenzylsulfonic acid with sulfur and alkaline sulfur is obtained.

Sie stellt alsdann eine bräunliche Masse dar, welche sich in Wasser mit bräunlichgelber Farbe auflöst und direct zum Färben Verwendung finden kann. Mineralsäuren oder Kochsalz fällen den Farbkörper aus seinen Lösungen in Form von gelblichen Flocken aus. Der Farbstoff färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle direct bräunlichgelb an, und es zeichnen sich die damit erzielten Färbungen besonders durch ihre Wasch- und Chlorechtheit aus.
